Choosing Pals for jobs

Pick Pals for the work your base needs and for the encounter you are planning.

THE GUIDE

What to do and why

Match work suitability

Check the task a station requires before assigning a Pal. A Pal with a useful combat skill may still be a poor answer for a missing base job. Fix food or material bottlenecks before chasing a rare-looking worker.

Plan captures safely

Bring appropriate Pal Spheres and enough room to fight without losing track of the target. Damage the Pal deliberately, watch nearby threats, and avoid spending all supplies on a capture attempt that leaves no safe return.

Review the team after a trip

Keep Pals that cover distinct exploration and combat needs. Compare a new capture with the role it replaces; a diverse team is more useful than several companions that all solve the same problem.
