What to do and why
Follow grace, then branch out
The Guidance of Grace points toward major objectives, but it is a direction rather than a required order. If the enemies along the route feel punishing, mark the destination and investigate nearby ruins, caves, and the southern roads first.
Improve your flask economy
Look for churches and small golden trees while exploring. Sacred Tears make each flask use stronger, and Golden Seeds increase the number of uses. These upgrades often help more than repeatedly attempting the same early boss.
Use tunnels for weapon upgrades
Tunnels are a practical place to look for Smithing Stones. Upgrade one weapon whose moveset feels dependable before dividing stones among several experiments. Return to the marked main route after the weapon and flasks are in better shape.
