ELDEN RING WIKI
Build planning
Build around a weapon you can use comfortably, enough Vigor to survive mistakes, and a manageable equipment load.
THE GUIDE
What to do and why
Meet requirements before scaling
Check the Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, or Arcane requirements of the equipment you actually want to use. First meet those requirements; then invest in the attribute that supports your main damage method rather than spreading levels evenly.
Protect room for mistakes
Vigor increases the amount of damage you can survive. Endurance affects stamina and equipment load. If a build hits hard but cannot safely dodge, block, or wear its chosen gear, improve those foundations before adding more damage.
Upgrade the tool, then retest
Weapon upgrades and Ashes of War can change a fight more visibly than a few scattered attribute points. Test the same encounter after one upgrade so you can tell which change helped. Keep a familiar backup for enemies your main setup handles poorly.
