What to do and why
Pick a district goal
Choose a main job, a useful vendor, or one upgrade target before opening the map. Group nearby gigs around that goal so travel contributes to the build and story path you want.
Read the objective details
A gig may reward stealth, evidence, or a particular interaction even when combat is possible. Check messages and the objective tracker before entering, then choose the route that fits both your build and the stated task.
Review the result
After a job, check rewards, new messages, and the next objective. Sell or store unneeded equipment before another long route. This makes side work a measured progression tool rather than an endless icon-clearing exercise.
