THE GUIDE
What to do and why
Separate a lead from an obligation
A journal entry tells you what the party has learned; it does not always prescribe one route. Before accepting a risky confrontation, ask whether another person, object, or approach nearby could change your options.
Close local conversations
After finding evidence or resolving an encounter, return to relevant characters while you are still in the area. Dialogue may acknowledge what changed, add a new lead, or clarify a decision before you travel away.
Prepare for a region transition
Review unresolved journal entries and available companions before moving into a new act or major area. Keep a manual save when you want to compare outcomes. Do not assume every quest can be completed in one playthrough.
