Ys SEVEN brings the classic action‑RPG series to modern PCs with upscaled HD graphics, a steady 60 fps frame rate, and full Steamworks integration. The title adds a real‑time party system that lets players control up to three characters, including Adol, Dogi and Geis, while battling the series’ signature massive bosses.
Set in the port city of Altago after a war with the Romun empire, the game offers a story‑heavy adventure that spans more than 20 hours. Players must master pierce, slash and thrust attacks, quick dodging and the “flash guard” mechanic to uncover the mystery of the Five Great Dragons.

Real‑time combat

Party system
A brand‑new party system allows up to three characters to be controlled at once. Players can switch among Adol, his sidekick Dogi, and mercenary Geis from Ys VI during battles.
Swapping characters lets you bring each member’s distinct skills into play when they are most useful against a given enemy or boss.
- Swap to Dogi when you need a defensive stance.

Storyline
The narrative follows red‑haired adventurer Adol Christin as he arrives in Altago, a city isolated after a war with the Romun empire. He must rearm, earn trust, and explore ruins to confront ancient dragons.
The plot is described as one of the most complex in the series, spanning well over 20 hours and involving the Five Great Dragons, five ancient tribes and a series of earthquakes threatening the land.
