About YORG.io

YORG.io is a casual indie strategy game where you protect a single base from nightly zombie attacks. During daylight you can build and connect structures, while night brings waves of zombies that grow stronger over time.

The game ends when the base is destroyed, but there is no set limit to how long you can survive. Each run starts with a different resource layout, and a leaderboard records the longest survivals.

01 / THE GUIDE

Day and Night Cycle

The game alternates between a safe daytime and a hostile nighttime. Daytime is used for constructing the base, placing crystal mines, transporters, factories and towers, giving you time to prepare before the next wave.

When night falls, zombies spawn in successive waves that attack your structures. The difficulty rises each night as zombies evolve new abilities, and a boss zombie appears every ten waves.

  • Use the full daylight period to finish essential constructions before the first wave.
  • Watch how zombie abilities change across nights to decide which towers need reinforcement.

02 / THE GUIDE

Base, Mines and Transporters

Crystal mines generate the primary income for your base, but they only work when linked to the base with a transporter. Transporters create the supply line that carries the mine’s output to the base.

Factories need resource mines for raw materials, and those resource mines also require transporters to deliver their output. Keeping each structure connected ensures continuous production.

  • Place transporters so every mine and factory has a clear link to the base.
  • Check that each new structure is connected before building additional ones.

03 / THE GUIDE

Defensive Towers and Ammunition

Defensive towers protect the base during night attacks, but each tower consumes ammunition that factories produce. Different towers have distinct strengths and weaknesses, so placement matters for covering various zombie types.

Factories turn resources from resource mines into ammunition. Maintaining enough factories and resource mines keeps tower ammunition flowing throughout the night.

  • Match tower types to the zombie abilities you expect each night.
  • Ensure factories are built early enough to supply ammunition for all towers.

04 / THE GUIDE

Zombie Waves and the Dread Overlord

Each night generates a series of zombie waves that become progressively stronger. Zombies develop new abilities, making later waves harder to repel with the same defenses.

Every ten waves a zombie boss called the Dread Overlord appears. The boss requires all your might to defeat it, so do not underestimate it.

  • Observe the pattern of zombie abilities before the boss wave to adjust tower placement.
  • Make sure all towers have ammunition before the boss arrives.

05 / THE GUIDE

Replayability and Leaderboards

Each game begins with a new configuration of available resources, forcing you to adapt your base layout and production chain for every run. This variability creates a distinct experience each time you play.

There is no fixed end point; the longer you survive, the higher your name climbs on the leaderboard, providing a continual goal beyond a single match.

  • Try different starting layouts to see which adapt best to varied resource maps.
  • Record your longest survival time and aim to improve it in subsequent runs.
