About Yarimono

Yarimono is a monster‑taming RPG that offers over 150 distinct monsters, each rendered in pixel art with multiple facial expressions. Players train their Yarimon, battle wild creatures or other trainers, and aim to become the champion while uncovering the world’s hidden secrets. The game includes a unique “Cheat Tackle” move that guarantees a first‑strike one‑hit kill, usable once per battle (unlimited in Easy mode). Alongside combat, players can complete the Yaridex, an encyclopedia of all Yarimon, and allocate EXP freely using EXP shards.

Monster Collection

Yarimono features more than 150 unique monsters, each with its own pixel‑art sprite and a set of facial expressions. These monsters, called Yarimon, can be captured and added to the player’s roster for training and battle.

Collecting Yarimon is central to progression; the game encourages players to seek out varied species in the world, expanding their team and preparing for tougher challenges.

  • Explore different areas to encounter a wider variety of Yarimon.
  • Focus on capturing monsters with complementary strengths.

Cheat Tackle Move

Only the main character’s partner learns the “Cheat Tackle,” a god‑level move with a power level of 800,000 that one‑shots any opponent. It guarantees a first strike and can be used once per battle.

In Easy mode the Cheat Tackle can be used without limit, providing a powerful advantage while still encouraging broader strategic development.

Experience System

Players gain EXP by battling wild Yarimon or other trainers. The introduction of EXP shards lets players freely allocate earned experience to any chosen monster, allowing targeted growth.

This system supports both organic progression through combat and strategic distribution of EXP, enabling players to strengthen preferred Yarimon for championship runs.

  • Use EXP shards to boost a monster’s weak stats.
  • Balance battle grinding with shard allocation for efficient growth.

Yaridex Encyclopedia

The Yaridex is an in‑game encyclopedia that records every monster the player encounters. Completing the Yaridex is presented as a key objective for completionists.

Each entry includes pixel art and illustrations, helping players identify and compare monsters as they expand their collection.

  • Check the Yaridex after each capture to track progress.
  • Prioritize missing entries when planning exploration routes.
