About Warfare Legacy Collection
The Warfare Legacy Collection bundles the original tug‑of‑war strategy titles Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 and adds a new campaign, Battle of the Bulge. Players command historic forces in World‑War‑I and World‑War‑II settings, moving troops across three lanes and using fire‑support and morale tactics.
All three campaigns are single‑player, offer adjustable difficulty, a mouse‑only option, and Steam Cloud saves. The collection runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and supports Steam achievements and family sharing.
01 / THE GUIDE
Warfare 1917 Campaign
In Warfare 1917 you command either the British or German army in a trench‑based attrition battle set in France. You can deploy infantry, early tanks and fire‑support assets while spending command points to upgrade troops and support.
The campaign’s win conditions include breaking enemy morale or capturing ground. Players can place custom elements such as trenches, barbed wire and land mines to shape the battlefield before each engagement.
- Try allocating command points to both troop upgrades and fire‑support to keep options open.
- Experiment with different trench layouts to see how they affect lane control.
02 / THE GUIDE
Warfare 1944 Campaign
Warfare 1944 puts you in the role of U.S. Forces or the Wehrmacht during the 1944 liberation of France. The three‑lane battlefield lets you pursue objectives or win by wearing down enemy morale.
New controls let you order smoke, suppressing fire, advances and call officers for air support or artillery barrages against entrenched enemies.
- Use smoke when advancing across open lanes to reduce exposure.
- Call officers for artillery when enemy positions appear heavily fortified.

Battle of the Bulge Campaign
The Battle of the Bulge campaign recreates the winter offensive of 1944 with snowy forests, shattered towns and harsh conditions. Both sides must hold lines against surprise attacks, push back, escort convoys and clear minefields.
New mission types include capturing crossroads and defending against sudden assaults, emphasizing defensive play and careful use of available resources.
- Clear minefields before moving large units to avoid unnecessary losses.
- Secure crossroads early to improve positional advantage.

Custom Battle Setup
Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 let you design custom battles by selecting units, trenches, barbed wire and land mines, with Warfare 1944 letting you pick the map and choose your fire support.
These tools let players experiment with different force compositions and terrain layouts, creating challenges beyond the scripted campaigns.
- Mix infantry with tanks to explore combined‑arms effects.
- Adjust the amount of barbed wire or mines to change how lanes are contested.
