About War Selection

War Selection is a pseudo‑historical real‑time strategy where dozens of players start in the Stone Age on a random map. Each player selects a culture and then a specific country, unlocking unique buildings, units and mechanics as they progress through seven eras toward heavy tanks, artillery and airships.

The game provides over 200 building types and more than 300 unit types across land, air and naval branches. Free content includes several online modes and a Sandbox for unrestricted testing, while an in‑game store offers twelve additional countries and three special modes for purchase.

01 / THE GUIDE

Historical Eras

Players advance through seven distinct eras, each adding new technology, units and buildings. The final era introduces heavy tanks, long‑range artillery and combat airships, expanding the range of military options available.

All seven eras and eight cultures are available from the start at no cost, allowing any match to span the full timeline without additional purchases.

  • Track how unit armor and firepower change between eras to plan smooth transitions.
  • Compare early‑era mobility with late‑era firepower when designing mixed forces.

Culture and Country Choice

At match start you choose a culture, then a specific country. This selection determines the set of buildings, units and mechanics you can employ during the game.

Eight cultures are free, while twelve additional countries with exclusive units, buildings and mechanics are sold in the in‑game store.

  • Experiment with different cultures in Sandbox to see which fits your strategic preferences.
  • Review the exclusive units of purchased countries before committing to a purchase.

  • Try the free Match mode to become familiar with basic combat flow.
  • Use Sandbox to test building layouts before entering competitive modes.

04 / THE GUIDE

Buildings and Units

The game features more than 200 building types and over 300 unit types, organized into land, air and naval branches. These assets support base construction, resource gathering and military engagements.

Each culture and each purchasable country adds its own selections to this pool, increasing strategic diversity across all modes.

  • Combine units from different branches to cover a wider range of battlefield scenarios.
  • Explore the full building list in Sandbox to discover efficient base layouts.

05 / THE GUIDE

In‑Game Store

The store sells access to twelve unique countries, each providing exclusive units, buildings and mechanics not found in the free content.

It also offers the three special game modes—Survival, Tug of War and Armageddon—available for purchase with real money or in‑game currency.

  • Read the country descriptions to match their exclusive content with your preferred tactics.
  • Test newly purchased modes in Sandbox before entering live matches.
