About VR The Diner Duo
VR The Diner Duo lets two players run a diner using an HTC Vive. One player cooks in VR while the other serves from the same PC with keyboard, mouse or gamepad. Both single‑player and multiplayer are supported, so you can practice alone or with a partner.
The game offers over thirty increasingly hard levels, fourteen recipes, and several extra modes such as Kid, Winter and Bakery. Cosmetic hats unlock as you play, and an Endless mode records a local high score for ongoing competition.

Asymmetrical Multiplayer
One participant becomes the chef, wearing the VR headset and using tracked controllers to slice, fry and plate dishes. The second participant, the waiter, stays outside VR and uses a keyboard, mouse or gamepad to take orders and serve drinks.
Success depends on clear communication: the waiter must convey each order quickly, and the chef must finish cooking before the timer expires. If the timer runs out, the round is lost, highlighting the need for coordinated timing.
- Agree on simple verbal cues for each menu item before starting.
- Do a quick control check so both players know how to confirm an order.

Level and Recipe Variety
The game contains more than thirty levels that grow harder, introducing greater challenges as difficulty rises. Fourteen distinct recipes appear, and each level randomises the order list to keep each playthrough fresh.
Later levels require quicker preparation and tighter coordination, so memorising each recipe’s steps becomes essential. Mastery of the full recipe set directly improves your ability to meet tighter time limits.
- Start with the simplest recipes to build muscle memory.
- Watch the upcoming order queue to anticipate the next dish.

Customization and Cosmetics
Both chef and waiter avatars can be dressed with unlockable hats and other cosmetic items. New visual options become available the more you play, providing a way to show progress.
These cosmetic changes are described as customization options, letting you personalize your avatars as you play.
- Collect a range of hats to keep the visual experience varied.
- Use contrasting colours for each player to improve on‑screen clarity.

Endless Mode and Highscores
Beyond the structured levels, an Endless mode lets players serve customers indefinitely. The mode tracks a local high score, allowing you to compete against your own best performance.
Because the score is stored locally, you can replay Endless runs without needing an online leaderboard, making it ideal for practice or friendly rivalry.
- Set a personal time goal before each Endless run.
- Review previous high scores to spot where coordination slowed.

Remote Play Together Support
The feature list includes Remote Play Together, which enables players to join a session over the internet while sharing the same VR headset connection. This expands multiplayer beyond a single local machine.
When using Remote Play Together, the remote waiter still uses keyboard, mouse or gamepad on their own device, while the chef remains in VR on the host PC. The core gameplay mechanics stay unchanged.
- Test the connection with a short round before a longer session.
- Confirm the remote player’s input method matches the host’s expectations.
