About VIVIDLOPE

VIVIDLOPE is an arcade puzzle title that follows Cerise through the gravity‑defying world of VIVIDSCAPE. Players flip the environment, run on ceilings, paint tiles, and fend off enemies that arrive from every direction.

The game offers a Story Mode with animated cutscenes and an Atrium hub, an Endless Mode for nonstop action, three distinct characters, a rank system, attire options, a level editor, and full controller and keyboard‑only input.

01 / THE GUIDE

Gameplay Mechanics

The core loop requires turning the world upside down to run on ceilings while painting a target percentage of tiles. Enemies can approach from north, south, east, west, top, and bottom, so players must stay aware of all angles.

Powerful items can be collected during runs, and each stage ends when the required tile coverage is reached. The combination of flipping, painting, and enemy management creates a fast‑paced puzzle challenge.

  • Watch the pattern of enemy entry before flipping to anticipate threats.
  • Group tile painting in nearby areas to reach the target percentage efficiently.

02 / THE GUIDE

Game Modes

Story Mode includes animated cutscenes and an Atrium hub populated by quirky characters, providing a narrative framework for progressing through stages.

Endless Mode removes stage limits, challenging players to survive as long as possible while using the same core mechanics. The objective shifts from clearing individual stages to maintaining endurance.

  • Use Story Mode to become familiar with each character’s behavior before tackling Endless Mode.
  • In Endless Mode, keep a steady rhythm of painting and flipping to handle continuous enemy waves.

03 / THE GUIDE

Playable Characters

Three characters are available, each described with a distinct playstyle: defense, speed, or offense. Selecting a character changes how players approach tile painting and enemy encounters.

The differing styles let players match personal preferences, whether focusing on survivability, rapid movement, or aggressive tile coverage.

  • Try the defense character on stages with many enemy spawns to see how survivability feels.
  • The speed character can help reach tile‑painting targets more quickly.

04 / THE GUIDE

Rank System

After completing a stage, the game assigns a rank that reflects the player's performance. The rank provides a benchmark for comparing runs.

Because ranks are awarded per stage, players can use them to gauge how efficiently they handle painting and enemy waves across different characters or difficulty settings.

  • Observe how your rank changes when you experiment with different characters.
  • Compare ranks between Story and Endless runs to see which mode suits your style.

05 / THE GUIDE

Level Editor

VIVIDLOPE includes a level editor that lets players design custom stages using the same mechanics found in the main game.

Created levels can be shared through Steam Workshop, extending the game's replay value beyond the built‑in stages.

  • Test gravity flips in your own level to ensure puzzles feel balanced.
  • Play your custom stage in single‑player before publishing it.
