About Verlicia Saga
Verlicia Saga is a fantasy tactical RPG that follows the classic turn‑based‑tactics tradition. Players raise a roster of named heroes, move them on grid maps, and weigh each attack, while death in Classic mode is permanent.
Between battles you return to a camp hub where you can spar in the Arena, cook stat‑boosting meals, spin a Lottery, soak in a Hot Spring, raise Monuments, hear soldiers in the Barracks, and forge legendary arms at the smithy. The game offers Casual, Classic (permadeath) and Phoenix difficulty modes, plus a turnwheel that rewinds a mistake.
01 / THE GUIDE
Grid‑Tactics Combat
Units move across a battlefield grid, and positioning matters for both offense and defense. The weapon triangle—swords, lances, and axes—creates strengths and weaknesses that must be considered before committing to an attack.
Players can pair units for dual strikes, adopt shielding guard stances, and use terrain such as forts and mountains for cover, turning each map into a puzzle solved with the soldiers currently raised.
- Observe enemy threat ranges early to avoid unnecessary losses.
- Use terrain cover to protect weaker units.

Class Promotion System
Heroes gain experience and level up, reaching Level 10 where they can promote into a new class. Promotion provides a fresh visual design, new weapons, and a noticeable power spike.
After promotion, heroes may also reclass into whole new callings, allowing them to master multiple weapon types and expand tactical options.
- Plan promotions around upcoming map challenges to maximize new class benefits.
- Reclass after promotion to diversify your army’s weapon coverage.

Supports and Inheritance
Characters build Support levels from C up to S, deepening the bonds between your soldiers. When two heroes marry, their children become recruitable in optional side‑chapters, extending your lineage.
These children join your roster as new fighters, adding fresh options without starting from scratch.
- Focus on high‑rank Supports for stronger battle synergies.
- Consider marriage combinations that yield children with complementary classes.

Camp Activities
Between missions you return to camp where you can spar in the Arena, cook meals that boost stats, spin a Lottery, and relax in a Hot Spring. Monuments can be raised and the smithy used to forge legendary arms.
The Mess Hall, Barracks, and other facilities let you interact with your soldiers, deepening bonds and preparing equipment for the next battle.
- Use the Mess Hall to prepare meals before tougher chapters.
- Visit the forge regularly to keep weapons upgraded.

Difficulty Modes & Turnwheel
Three difficulty settings—Casual, Classic (permadeath), and Phoenix—let you choose how unforgiving the experience will be. Classic mode removes fallen soldiers permanently, raising the stakes of each decision.
A turnwheel feature lets you rewind a mistake, offering a safety net for accidental errors without removing the overall challenge.
- Start in Casual to learn mechanics before tackling Classic.
- Use the turnwheel sparingly to preserve the tension of permadeath.
