About Vault of the Void

Vault of the Void is a single‑player roguelike deck‑builder that removes random events, letting players shape each battle through deck construction. Before every encounter you can see the upcoming enemies, giving you the chance to plan tactics and adjust your cards on the fly.

The game offers four distinct classes, over 440 cards, 320 artifacts and Void Stones that can be socketed into cards, creating countless strategic combinations. You battle more than 90 monsters across selectable difficulty levels, including an Impossible+ mode for extra challenge.

01 / THE GUIDE

Four Unique Classes

Each of the four classes provides a completely different playstyle, encouraging varied approaches to combat. Selecting a class determines the core cards and strategies available to you throughout a run.

Because the classes differ fundamentally, switching between them offers fresh experiences and forces you to rethink deck composition each time you start a new game.

  • Experiment with each class to discover which playstyle aligns with your preferred tactics.
  • Compare how class‑specific cards interact with the same artifact to gauge versatility.

02 / THE GUIDE

Dynamic Deck Building

Vault of the Void lets you modify your deck at any point during a run, with a pool of 440+ cards to choose from. This flexibility supports on‑the‑fly experimentation and creative combos.

You can also purge unwanted cards during combat to gain extra energy, enabling high‑powered sequences when needed.

  • Use purging strategically to convert dead cards into energy for combo turns.
  • Keep a few versatile cards handy for unexpected enemy types.

03 / THE GUIDE

Artifacts and Void Stones

Over 320 artifacts can be equipped to alter your deck’s capabilities, while Void Stones are runes that can be socketed into cards for additional abilities. These systems expand the range of possible builds.

Combining artifacts with stone‑enhanced cards lets you tailor effects to match specific monster encounters or personal strategies.

  • Pair artifacts that boost energy with stone‑enhanced cards that cost more energy for stronger effects.
  • Test different stone combinations on the same card to see which synergy works best.

04 / THE GUIDE

Threat System

When enemies attack, they increase your Threat level. At the end of your next turn, the accumulated Threat deals damage equal to its total value. Block cards can reduce Threat, creating a risk‑vs‑reward decision.

The visual Threat meter makes it easy to gauge upcoming damage, removing hidden calculations from combat.

  • Monitor Threat closely and play Block cards before it spikes too high.
  • Weigh the benefit of aggressive attacks against the potential Threat damage.

05 / THE GUIDE

Adjustable Difficulty

Players can choose their own difficulty while traversing the Void, ranging from an introductory level to the challenging Impossible+ mode. This lets you match the game’s intensity to your skill or experimental goals.

Higher difficulties increase the challenge of the 90+ monsters you must defeat, testing the effectiveness of your deck and strategies.

  • Start on Introduction to learn mechanics before tackling Impossible+.
  • Use the same deck on multiple difficulties to evaluate its robustness.
