About Vacation Simulator
Vacation Simulator is Owlchemy Labs’ newest VR adventure. Players wander Vacation Island, a bright world filled with a beach, forest, and snowy mountain, meeting a colorful cast of Bots while engaging in activities such as splashing, painting, and ice‑sculpting. The experience is marketed as “optimal relaxation” and “free of motion sickness and seasickness.”
The title runs on Windows via Steam and supports tracked controllers, one‑handed play, and captions, aiming to be accessible to a wide audience. Players can customize a virtual avatar for selfies, explore three distinct locales, and optionally add the free Back to Job expansion that adds service‑oriented challenges.
01 / THE GUIDE
Vacation Island Beach
The beach area simulates a shoreline where you can splash in a silicon sea and bask in virtual sunlight without real sand. Interactions include yoga poses, classic sports, and a Dock Shop that offers avatar accessories.
The environment is described as a place for “optimal relaxation” and “efficient memory‑making,” while explicitly stating it avoids motion sickness and seasickness.
- Try the yoga T‑pose if you feel disoriented.
- Browse the Dock Shop early to see the range of accessories.

Vacation Forest Exploration
Vacation Forest spreads across acres with over five unique trees, letting you paint “happy little trees” and share the experience with a virtual fish. The area is explicitly noted as “not Actual Nature.”
You can lose yourself among the trees, connecting with “roots, nodes, and branches,” while engaging in creative activities such as painting within the forest setting.
- Experiment with the painting tool before applying colors to a tree.
- Observe the fish for a calming visual break.

Vacation Mountain Lodge
At the summit, the premium lodge offers hot liquid, a hot tub, and hot air for post‑snow relaxation. Activities include ice‑sculpting, snowball throwing, and crafting a “snowhuman” avatar.
The mountain promises “mostly authentic simulations of both cozy AND cold,” providing a contrast to the beach and forest locales.
- Warm up in the hot tub after a snowball session to reduce virtual chill.
- Try different ice‑sculpting tools to see varied shapes.

Accessibility and One‑Handed Play
Owlchemy Labs emphasizes inclusive design, providing full support for one‑handed play across 100 % of the game. Captions are also available, and visual icons replace critical text or speech cues.
These features aim to let players who cannot use two arms or rely on audio fully enjoy the experience without missing essential information.
- Enable captions in settings for clearer guidance.
- Test one‑handed controls in a low‑traffic area before tackling complex interactions.
