About Underlevel

Underlevel puts you in control of a horde of skeletons whose goal is to thwart a lone Knight’s raid through a dungeon. The Knight seeks loot and experience, while you must rescue skeletons, destroy loot, and prevent the Knight from leveling before the final floor. At the game’s climax, any saved skeletons are released to confront the Knight, testing whether your earlier efforts were enough to overcome his growing power.

01 / THE GUIDE

Rescuing Skeletons

Throughout the dungeon you can locate skeletons that the Knight might kill. Your task is to gather and rescue these skeletons before they are lost. Each rescued skeleton adds to the pool that will later attack the Knight in the final battle.

The rescue mechanic is central to the game’s win condition; the more skeletons you save, the stronger the final horde becomes. Timing your rescues while the Knight is occupied can improve your success rate.

  • Observe the Knight’s path and intervene when he is distracted to maximize rescues.
  • Prioritize clusters of skeletons that are close together to save time.

02 / THE GUIDE

Destroying Loot

Loot appears as the Knight smashes vases and other objects. By destroying this loot you deny the Knight experience and level‑up opportunities. The game encourages you to smash loot before the Knight can claim it.

Each piece of loot you eliminate reduces the amount of XP the Knight can earn, directly influencing his power by the time he reaches the final floor.

  • Focus on loot that appears near the Knight’s current location for quick denial.
  • Combine loot destruction with skeleton rescues when paths intersect.

03 / THE GUIDE

Knight Camera View

The game features a “Knight Cam™” that follows the Knight’s actions. This camera lets you monitor his movements, loot collection, and level progression in real time.

Using the Knight Cam effectively helps you plan when to intervene, rescue skeletons, or destroy loot, making it a strategic tool rather than just a visual aid.

  • Keep the Knight Cam centered on the Knight when he is near high‑value loot.
  • Switch focus quickly if the Knight changes direction toward a cluster of skeletons.

04 / THE GUIDE

Final Battle Deployment

When the Knight reaches the final floor, all skeletons you have saved are unleashed in a concluding confrontation. Their collective strength depends on how many you rescued and how much loot you destroyed earlier.

The outcome of this battle determines whether the Knight’s growing might is overcome, making earlier rescue and destruction choices critical.

  • Aim to rescue a balanced number of skeletons across the dungeon rather than focusing on a single area.
  • Destroying loot early can offset a smaller skeleton count by reducing the Knight’s power.

05 / THE GUIDE

Single‑Player Experience

Underlevel is designed as a single‑player game, allowing you to control the skeleton horde without other players. The experience is self‑contained, focusing on your interaction with the Knight’s raid.

Family Sharing is supported, meaning the game can be shared within a household.

  • Experiment with different rescue strategies in each playthrough to discover what works best.
  • Use Family Sharing to let another household member try alternative tactics with their own copy.
