About Trove

Trove is a free‑to‑play action MMO where players explore procedurally generated realms on dragons and Meownts. The game mixes combat, loot hunting, and extensive building, letting cubular characters battle Shadow forces, raid dungeons, and craft personal Cornerstones. Players can also collaborate to construct whole Club Worlds, filling them with custom items, decorations, and even music blocks. With multiple classes, PvP, and co‑op modes, Trove offers a sandbox adventure that evolves with each playthrough.

01 / THE GUIDE

Classes and Combat

Trove features a range of cubular classes such as Knight, Gunslinger, Ice Sage, Dracolyte, and Pirate‑with‑a‑parrot. Each class grants distinct abilities, from ninja techniques to ice‑based attacks, allowing players to tailor their combat style.

Gear upgrades enhance these abilities, letting players tackle tougher challenges and showcase unique looks while battling Shadow forces and dungeon bosses.

  • Experiment with multiple classes to discover complementary abilities.
  • Upgrade gear regularly to keep pace with increasing enemy difficulty.

02 / THE GUIDE

Procedural Realms

Every playthrough generates new, fully destructible realms that can be traversed on fire‑breathing dragons or whiskered Meownts. Locations range from Treasure Isles to Candoria, each scaling to player level.

The procedural nature ensures each adventure feels fresh, with unique terrain, loot, and environmental challenges.

  • Use dragons for fast travel across large realms.
  • Explore varied biomes to find diverse loot pools.

03 / THE GUIDE

Dungeons and Lairs

Players can form groups to enter massive dungeons unique to each realm, confronting minions, traps, and bosses for powerful armor and weapons. Smaller Lairs provide solo‑friendly challenges.

These instances reward loot that feeds the game's extensive collection system.

  • Team up for larger dungeons to handle tougher mechanics.
  • Solo players can still enjoy Lairs for quick rewards.

04 / THE GUIDE

Building and Cornerstones

Cornerstones are personal, block‑by‑block homes that can be placed on marked plots in any world, providing a mobile base for crafting and relaxation.

Beyond personal homes, players can collaborate to create Club Worlds, constructing massive structures like geodesic domes or sky castles.

  • Place Cornerstones in safe zones to avoid frequent enemy encounters.
  • Coordinate with friends when designing large Club Worlds for smoother builds.

05 / THE GUIDE

Platform and Accessibility

Trove runs on Windows and supports DualShock and DualSense controllers, partial controller input, adjustable text size, and custom volume controls. The game can be played without timed input, allowing flexible pacing.

Steam integration adds achievements, trading cards, and Workshop support, while in‑app purchases are optional.

  • Adjust text size for comfortable reading during long sessions.
  • Use controller support if preferred over keyboard‑mouse.
