About Trine Enchanted Edition

Trine Enchanted Edition follows a wizard, a knight and a thief whose fates bind when they each touch the mysterious Trine artifact. Their quest leads through castles, caverns and dragon graveyards to rescue a kingdom overrun by undead.

The game features physics‑driven puzzles, character‑specific abilities and both solo and 1‑3 player co‑op, with online, local and Remote Play options. A remastered engine adds new lighting, save‑anywhere checkpoints and includes the original 2009 release.

01 / THE GUIDE

Switching Between Heroes

In single‑player you control all three heroes, swapping at any moment to use the wizard’s conjuring, the thief’s grappling hook or the knight’s brute force, matching each puzzle’s demand.

The description notes you can “switch between them whenever you like,” which applies only to solo play; co‑op assigns each player a fixed hero.

  • Swap to the wizard when you need a temporary platform.
  • Use the thief’s grappling hook for wide gaps.

02 / THE GUIDE

Co‑op Play Options

Trine Enchanted Edition supports 1‑3 players in online or local co‑op, with shared or split‑screen layouts, letting friends join together on the same or separate screens.

In co‑op each participant takes one hero, so the team must coordinate the wizard, knight and thief to solve puzzles without swapping characters.

  • Discuss which hero will handle each obstacle before starting.
  • Try split‑screen locally for clearer visual sharing.

03 / THE GUIDE

Physics‑Based Puzzle Design

All levels run on fully interactive physics, letting each hero affect objects in unique ways: the wizard summons items, the thief swings with a hook, the knight smashes obstacles.

The game encourages multiple solutions, so experimenting with different hero abilities can open alternative routes.

  • Test each hero’s tool on the same obstacle.
  • Observe object reactions before committing.

04 / THE GUIDE

Diverse Environments

Fifteen distinct levels, such as Astral Academy, Crystal Caverns, Dragon Graveyard, Forsaken Dungeons, Fangle Forest and Ruins of the Perished, each present a unique visual style and puzzle theme.

These varied settings introduce new hazards and platforming challenges, keeping gameplay fresh across the journey.

  • Watch for environmental cues that hint at hidden paths.
  • Match hero choice to the dominant obstacles of each area.

05 / THE GUIDE

Save‑Anywhere Checkpoint System

The Enchanted Edition adds save‑anywhere checkpoints, allowing you to pause and resume at any point, whether sessions are short or long.

Checkpoints work across all supported platforms, preserving progress even after brief breaks.

  • Save before attempting a risky maneuver.
  • Use the feature to experiment without losing progress.
