About Tricky Towers
Don the wizard’s robe, summon blocks, and cast from a pool of more than 17 spells to build the tallest stable tower you can. Your tower’s height and stability decide the round’s outcome, while spells let you reinforce your own structure or disrupt rivals.
Matches support up to four players locally or online and are divided into three distinct modes—Survival, Race, and Puzzle. Scores feed into Steam leaderboards, and local and online tournaments offer a shot at the Wizardry Cup.
01 / THE GUIDE
Tower Construction
The core activity is stacking summoned blocks to create a vertical structure. Height alone does not win; the tower must stay stable, because an unstable tower can collapse and end the round for the player who built it.
Stability depends on block placement and the use of spells that can reinforce weak points. Watching how blocks settle after each placement helps you decide when to add more blocks or cast a stabilising spell.
- Pause briefly after each block drop to observe its effect on balance before casting a spell.
- Consider symmetrical layouts; they often distribute weight more evenly.

Spell Management
Players have access to a variety of spells, some designed to aid their own tower and others that act as dark spells to hinder opponents. Dark spells can push or destabilise rival towers, creating openings for advancement.
Because spells affect both you and others, timing becomes crucial. Defensive spells can block incoming dark spells, while offensive spells are most effective when an opponent’s tower is already unstable.
- Reserve defensive spells for moments when you see an opponent’s dark spell approaching.
- Mix offensive and defensive spells to keep opponents uncertain about your next move.

Multiplayer Modes
Tricky Towers offers three multiplayer modes—Survival, Race, and Puzzle—each supporting up to four players. Survival tests endurance, Race focuses on speed, and Puzzle presents specific building challenges that differ from the other modes.
All modes can be played locally with split‑screen or online with separate devices. Leaderboards let you set high scores and compare your rank among peers, while tournaments decide the Wizardry Cup.
- Try each mode to discover which aligns best with your building style.
- Check the top leaderboard entries for each mode to see common successful strategies.

Tournament Play
The game includes local and online tournaments where participants compete for the Wizardry Cup. Tournaments use the same building and spell mechanics as regular matches, allowing you to apply familiar tactics in a competitive setting.
Tournament play lets you compete to become the next Wizard Champion, while the Steam leaderboards let you compare your rank among peers.
- Practice full matches before entering a tournament to become comfortable with the mechanics.
- Watch recorded tournament games to see how top players manage spells and stability.
