Monster Variety
The game features forty different monster types, including jersey devils, mothmen, yetis, apparitions, and cassowaries. Each creature is catalogued in a collectible bestiary that provides lore and visual details.
These monsters populate the map’s branching paths, encouraging exploration and repeated playthroughs to discover every encounter. Their diversity contributes to the game’s spooky atmosphere and replay value.
- Compare monster designs to spot visual cues that hint at their weaknesses.
- Use the bestiary entries as a reference for lore‑focused players.

Weapon Selection
Players start with a baseball bat but can purchase ten backyard ninja weapons in shops, such as a slingshot, crowbar, meteor hammer, and nunchucks. This variety lets players experiment with different combat styles.
All weapons are available through in‑game shops, offering an alternative to the default bat without requiring external purchases.
- Try each weapon in a low‑risk area to gauge its feel before tackling bosses.
- Consider the weapon’s range and speed when planning a route through dense monster clusters.

Movement Upgrades
The moveset can be expanded with a back flip, wall climb, and double jumps, granting access to new platforming routes and hidden areas. These upgrades are integral to navigating the non‑linear map.
Upgrading movement abilities also opens alternative paths, allowing players to approach bosses from different angles in subsequent playthroughs.
- Practice the back flip in open spaces to master timing before using it in combat.
- Use wall climb to reach secret rooms that house extra collectibles.
