Setting and Story
The narrative begins with the player waking up after a battle, unaware of recent events. The environment is a deserted trench littered with corpses and inexplicable objects hovering in the sky. Progression is driven by finding clues that gradually reveal why the player is there and how to escape to the forest.
Exploration rewards the player with shortcuts, locked rooms, and hidden supplies. The atmosphere emphasizes isolation and the urgency of regrouping with a comrade, reinforcing the survival‑horror tone.
- Take note of any visual clues; they often hint at the next objective.
- Map out discovered shortcuts to reduce backtracking later.

Turn‑Based Combat System
Combat is turn‑based, where each turn can determine survival. Attacks use a timed system that requires precise aiming to land hits. Guns allow limb targeting, enabling the player to fire multiple bullets at different limbs in a single turn.
Once combat begins, retreat is not an option, so preparation before initiating a fight is essential. Enemy monsters have distinct movement patterns and strengths, encouraging strategic planning for each encounter.
- Practice the timed attack mechanic in low‑risk fights to improve accuracy.
- Target enemy limbs that appear vulnerable to maximize damage per turn.

Resource Management and Crafting
Supplies deplete quickly, making scavenging crucial. Players can search trenches for scraps, which serve as raw material for crafting ammunition and healing items. Efficient use of these crafted resources often decides the outcome of encounters.
Stealth can reduce encounters, preserving resources. The trenches contain hidden loot and rooms that can be unlocked later, providing additional material for crafting and survival.
- Prioritize crafting healing items before ammunition when low on health.
- Use stealth routes to avoid unnecessary combat and conserve supplies.

Initial Character Classes
At the start, players choose one of three classes: Raider, Sniper, or Medic. The Raider excels in close‑quarters combat, the Sniper focuses on gun management, and the Medic specializes in crafting healing items.
Each class shapes how players approach combat and resource use, influencing whether they favor melee, precise shooting, or sustained survivability through healing.
- Select the class that matches your preferred combat style to reduce early difficulty.
- Experiment with different classes on subsequent playthroughs to discover varied strategies.
