About Trapper's Delight
Trapper's Delight lets players build a gauntlet using 28 different traps and tiles, then race to reach a goal while competitors attempt the same course. Scoring is earned by arriving safely, so each creator must also be able to navigate their own design.
The game was conceived as a party experience, offering local couch play for 2‑4 players (requiring at least one controller) and online matches for the same player count. A single‑player Challenge Mode provides 48 puzzle levels for solo practice.

Multiplayer Modes
Local and online multiplayer each support two to four participants. Local sessions need at least one controller, while online matches connect players via the internet, allowing everyone to place traps and race together in real time.
Both formats let players place traps and race together in real time. Because the player base is small, arranging a session with friends can be more reliable than relying on random matchmaking.
- Try a quick local match first to become comfortable with trap placement before joining online.
- Coordinate with teammates on who builds and who runs to keep early games balanced.

Single‑Player Challenge
Challenge Mode offers 48 puzzle levels where you design a trap layout and then attempt to beat your own creation. Success is measured by safely reaching the goal, encouraging careful planning of each hazard.
The mode can be played without other players, making it a useful environment for practicing the mechanics before entering competitive matches.
- Use early levels to test each trap type individually and learn its behavior.
- Replay a completed level to try alternative routes and see if you can improve your score.

Trap & Tile Variety
Players can select from 28 distinct traps and tiles when constructing their gauntlet. These pieces enable creative and devious designs as you build your gauntlet.
Because any trap can also become an obstacle for the runner, balancing offensive danger with a clear personal path is essential for scoring points.
- Mix static and moving traps to keep opponents guessing about the safest route.
- Leave a straightforward lane for yourself while complicating routes for rivals.

Level Editor & Steam Workshop
The built‑in level editor lets you craft new multiplayer and challenge maps, then share them through the Steam Workshop. Community‑made maps add variety beyond the base content.
Any player with access to the Workshop can download and play these custom levels, providing a steady stream of fresh challenges without leaving the game.
- Test your custom map locally before publishing to ensure it is solvable.
- Browse popular Workshop maps for ideas on effective trap combinations.

Player Customisation
Trapper's Delight includes visual customisation options, notably a large selection of hats. These options let players personalise their avatar’s appearance during both solo runs and competitive matches.
Custom hats can help differentiate characters in split‑screen play, making it easier to track your own avatar amid the chaos of multiple participants.
- Choose a high‑contrast hat to spot your character quickly in split‑screen.
- Coordinate themed hat choices when hosting a party for a cohesive visual style.
