About Tower Factory

Tower Factory puts you in charge of building a modular factory that produces towers to defend against enemy waves. You must locate and destroy the enemy castle before its monsters become overwhelming. Every playthrough uses a procedurally generated map, so the layout of resources, building space, and the castle changes each game.

Progress comes from expanding the factory with conveyor belts, acquiring resources, and upgrading towers. Defeating six unique bosses unlocks new mechanics, while permanent upgrades improve future runs. Early Access currently offers six levels, 13 tower types with upgraded versions, and a large pool of metaprogression upgrades.

01 / THE GUIDE

Factory Building

At the start of each run you create a factory from scratch, placing conveyor belts to move resources between buildings. New factory buildings become available as you acquire more resources, letting you expand production capacity and add more tower‑building stations.

The factory can be expanded continuously, so you can keep adding belts and structures throughout the match. Expanding not only increases resource flow but also opens space for additional towers, which become essential as enemy waves grow stronger.

  • Place belts to keep travel distance short between resource sources and tower stations.
  • Add early buildings that increase resource generation.

02 / THE GUIDE

Tower Defense

You construct and upgrade towers to fend off enemies that appear mainly during the night, though some attacks also occur in daylight. Selecting towers that match the timing and strength of waves is required to survive each encounter.

The game provides 13 base towers and 26 upgraded versions, each adding new effects. Upgrading towers improves their damage or adds special properties, giving you more options as the enemy threat grows.

  • Build a mix of tower types to handle both early and later waves.
  • Upgrade towers when you have enough resources to increase their effectiveness.

03 / THE GUIDE

Map Exploration

The map starts covered in fog, hiding the enemy castle, treasures, and additional building space. Clearing fog reveals these points, allowing you to expand your factory and access new resources.

Exploring also uncovers extra zones where you can place more towers or buildings. Knowing where the castle and open space are helps you plan defensive layouts before enemy waves arrive.

  • Scout early to locate the enemy castle and plan your defensive perimeter.
  • Clear fog around potential building zones to increase expansion options.

04 / THE GUIDE

Boss Mechanics

Six unique bosses appear across the procedurally generated levels. Defeating each boss unlocks a new mechanic, adding fresh strategic possibilities for later encounters.

Boss fights test the strength of your factory’s production and tower setup. Overcoming a boss not only progresses the level but also expands the tools you can use in subsequent runs.

  • Observe each boss’s attack pattern before committing large amounts of resources.
  • Ensure you have a variety of upgraded towers ready for a boss encounter.

05 / THE GUIDE

Metaprogression Upgrades

Permanent upgrades can be unlocked across games, providing lasting benefits such as higher resource yields or stronger tower effects. These upgrades persist between runs, making later playthroughs easier.

With more than 70 metaprogression upgrades available, you can shape long‑term growth to match your preferred strategy, whether focusing on resource collection, tower power, or factory efficiency.

  • Invest early in upgrades that boost resource collection for faster factory expansion.
  • Balance upgrades between offensive and defensive improvements to stay versatile.
