About Touhou Witch's Night Market
Touhou Witch's Night Market puts you in Marisa’s shoes as she tries to repay a loan from Reimu by entering magical item battles across Gensokyo. You collect items and skills, build a construct, and face a rotating cast of Touhou characters over ten in‑game days.
Each playthrough lasts about fifteen minutes. Surviving the ten days unlocks an eleventh day with a hidden challenge, and clearing Lunatic difficulty repeatedly unlocks an Extra Mode that lets you import other players’ save data.
01 / THE GUIDE
Marisa's Debt Narrative
Marisa sold all her magical items to fund a gamble called “Kappachinko”, lost everything, and then took a loan from Reimu. The loan’s relentless pursuit forces her to join the magical item battles to earn enough money to clear the debt.
The debt motive frames each battle as a step toward freedom, giving players a clear narrative reason to collect items and confront opponents throughout the ten‑day cycle.
- Observe how the debt pressure influences the timing of purchases.
- Consider how Marisa’s intuition for items aligns with her need to outwit Reimu.

Build Your Construct
You can gather from a pool of 158 items and 69 skills, each with unique attributes and effects, to assemble a custom construct. The system encourages experimentation, allowing combinations the developers may not have anticipated.
A single game runs about fifteen minutes, giving enough time to test multiple builds across the ten‑day progression and see how each construct performs against varied opponents.
- Mix items with contrasting effects to discover unexpected synergies.
- Track which skill‑item pairings survive longer in night‑market fights.

Ten‑Day Cycle and Moments
Each playthrough is divided into ten days, each day split into four moments. Daytime moments let you purchase items, learn skills, gain experience, fight random enemies, or alter an item’s effect.
At night you visit the market, meet a Touhou character, and challenge them. Surviving to Day 10 leads to an eleventh day with an unexpected challenge.
- Prioritize skill acquisition early to broaden construct options later.
- Use daytime events to adjust items before night‑market battles.

Unlocking Extra Mode
Clearing the game several times on Lunatic difficulty unlocks Extra Mode, where you can challenge your historical data and import other players’ save files. This adds a competitive layer that lets friends attempt to defeat each other’s constructs.
The description notes that a counter‑strategy will always exist, implying that even powerful builds can be challenged by thoughtful opposition.
- Import a friend’s construct and look for its weakest attribute.
- Use Extra Mode to benchmark your builds against community data.
