About Touhou Blooming Chaos 2
Touhou Blooming Chaos 2 expands the chaotic world of Gensokyo with a rogue‑dungeon experience. Players explore randomly generated rooms, battle waves of enemies, solve occasional puzzles, and confront bosses that showcase danmaku patterns. The game supports full controller input and offers Steam features such as achievements, cloud saves, and family sharing.
A diverse cast of over ten playable characters and more than thirty bosses provide varied combat styles. Collectible skins, music tracks, and images add extra layers of collection, while special challenge dungeons test skill without pre‑brought items or with time limits.
01 / THE GUIDE
Rogue Dungeon Structure
Each run generates a series of rooms whose layouts and enemies differ each time. Normal rooms require clearing all foes before a gate opens to the next area. Occasionally a puzzle room appears, offering a reward when solved, and a Korindo branch store may provide higher‑quality items for purchase.
At the end of each floor, a larger Boss Room hosts a danmaku battle against a Gensokyo girl. Victory yields rewards and progresses the run. The random nature ensures a fresh experience on every attempt.
- Observe the gate behavior; it only opens after all enemies are eliminated.
- When a puzzle room appears, prioritize solving it to lift the chest curse and gain its reward.

Combat Mechanics
Characters have three offensive options: a non‑consumable Attack (melee or ranged), a Skill based on their original spellcards, and a short invincible Dash. Attacks provide steady damage, while Skills vary between offensive, assistive, and area effects.
Dashing not only avoids hazards but can trigger character‑specific effects, such as freezing enemies for Cirno or dealing damage for Youmu. These tools combine for dynamic danmaku encounters.
- Mix attacks with skills to cover both steady damage and burst potential.
- Use dashes strategically to apply character‑specific effects during tight enemy patterns.

Character Progression
Experience earned from battles grants attribute points that can be allocated to strengthen a character. Players can shape a balanced build or focus on a specific playstyle, reflecting personal preference.
Equipment can be equipped for attribute bonuses and passive effects, and can be forged to retain desired properties, allowing further customization of a character’s capabilities.
- Consider your preferred combat role when distributing attribute points.
- Forge equipment that complements your chosen skill set for consistent performance.

Collectible Content
Unlockable characters appear after collecting specific items, and each character can gain additional color palettes through further collection. Music tracks played in‑game become available in a Music Room for replay, and defeated bosses may drop portrait images after beating a photo‑taking Tengu reporter.
These collections add extra goals beyond combat, encouraging exploration and repeated runs to complete the catalog.
- Track which items unlock new characters to prioritize their collection.
- Visit the Music Room after unlocking tracks for a relaxing break between runs.

Challenge Dungeons
Beyond the main plot, special dungeons impose extra restrictions such as no pre‑brought items, starting at level 1, time limits, or boss rushes. These modes increase difficulty and reward potential for players seeking heightened tests.
Each challenge dungeon maintains the same random room generation, ensuring that even restricted runs present fresh obstacles and strategic decisions.
- When entering a no‑item dungeon, focus on early equipment upgrades from Korindo stores.
- Time‑limited runs benefit from quick dash usage to navigate efficiently.
