Challenge Mode
A free Challenge Mode patch lets players replay levels with customizable modifiers. Completing the mode’s achievements unlocks ten new outfits that change Lara’s abilities, providing a structured way to earn extra rewards while revisiting familiar stages.
The mode is optional and separate from the main campaign, allowing players to experiment with different conditions without affecting story progress. Outfits are granted only after the associated achievement is earned.
- Try a single modifier at first to understand its effect before adding more.
- Focus on achievements that grant outfits early to expand your options sooner.

Graphics Options
The remaster upgrades textures, lighting, and effects while keeping an option to switch back to the original polygon aesthetic at any time. This toggle lets players compare modern visuals with the series’ early look without restarting a level.
Switching graphics does not interrupt gameplay, so you can use the view that best highlights hidden clues or simply enjoy the nostalgic appearance whenever you prefer.
- Toggle to the original look when you need clearer geometry for navigation.
- Use upgraded graphics when searching for subtle environmental details.

Photo Mode
Photo Mode offers 21 preset poses for Lara, any weapon, and any unlocked outfit. Players can capture screenshots while also rotating the camera to examine surroundings for hidden items or secrets.
Beyond showcasing costumes, the mode can serve as a visual checklist of discovered secrets, as rotating the view often reveals objects that are hard to see during normal play.
- After unlocking a new outfit, capture it in all poses to track your collection.
- Rotate the camera while photographing to expose hidden objects in the environment.

Controller Support
The collection provides full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense devices, as well as Steam’s controller configuration options. This lets players use their preferred gamepad on supported Windows systems.
Steam Cloud synchronizes progress, and Family Sharing allows other accounts on the same library to launch the game and retain saved data, making it easy to play across multiple PCs.
- Enable Steam Cloud in the settings to keep progress across computers.
- Verify Family Sharing is active if you let others use your library, so saves remain intact.
