About Together We Live
Together We Live is an indie adventure that opens with Kyōya waking in a dimly lit room. A passing girl tells him the world has perished, and the two set out to search for other survivors among ruined landscapes.
The game originally launched in 2017 with English only. A later update added Japanese and Simplified Chinese language options, improved visual assets, refined English text, and renamed the title while keeping the Windows‑only Steam release.

Story and Setting
Kyōya awakens in a dimly lit room and learns from the girl that humanity’s world is gone. Their journey takes them through devastated areas as they look for any remaining life.
The girl’s purpose is to die repeatedly to atone for humanity’s sins, a cycle that continues thousands of times. Kyōya watches this suffering and begins to want to teach her about happiness.
- Observe how each death is presented as a narrative moment rather than a gameplay mechanic.
- Consider the contrast between Kyōya’s optimism and the girl’s endless sacrifice when discussing themes.
