About Tides of Tomorrow 🌊
Tides of Tomorrow places you in a flooded world where the Plastemia disease threatens all life. As a single‑player Tidewalker you travel between floating isles, meet survivors, marauders and mystics, and gather resources to stay alive.
The Online Story‑Link system lets you begin a mission by following a friend, streamer, DigixArt team member or stranger. Their past decisions echo through the world, altering levels, NPCs and narrative options for your playthrough.
01 / THE GUIDE
online-story-link
When you start a mission you choose a Story‑Link belonging to another player. That player’s previous choices affect the layout of the area you enter, the placement of characters and the dialogue branches you can access.
During exploration you may encounter “echoes,” faint visual traces that show actions taken by earlier Tidewalkers. These echoes illustrate how past decisions have reshaped the environment you are currently navigating.
- Select a Story‑Link from a player with a different playstyle to notice larger variations in world layout.
- Observe the echoes for hints about paths or items that are not immediately visible.
02 / THE GUIDE
world-and-disease
The planet is covered by water and afflicted by Plastemia, a disease that endangers all living things. This setting creates constant challenges as you move between unstable floating islands.
Survival depends on gathering resources while navigating threats posed by the disease and by factions that control medicine, trade or worship the past.
- Listen to each faction’s description of Plastemia; their attitudes can suggest useful resources.
- Explore different island types to find environmental details that may explain the disease’s spread.

03 / THE GUIDE
factions-and-characters
You encounter three main groups: ruthless Marauders who control medicine and trade, everyday survivors called Reclaimers, and the Mystics who worship the past. Each group offers distinct dialogue and perspective.
The interactions you have with these groups can differ depending on the Story‑Link you selected, leading to varied narrative moments and world states.
- Pay attention to each faction’s motivations; they often foreshadow later events.
- Compare encounters across multiple Story‑Links to see how player choices reshape faction dynamics.

accessibility-options
The game provides adjustable text size, subtitle options, color alternatives, custom volume controls and camera comfort settings, allowing you to tailor visual and audio presentation to personal needs.
These options are available alongside full controller support, giving players flexibility in how they experience the narrative and exploration.
- Increase text size early if menus become hard to read during long sessions.
- Enable color alternatives if certain hues cause visual strain.
