About Thunder Tier One
Thunder Tier One is a realistic top‑down shooter set in the 1990s, after the USSR’s collapse. Players join an elite special‑operations team to hunt the SBR terrorist group and its leader Marko Antonov across a nine‑mission, story‑driven campaign.
The game supports four‑player co‑op or solo play with three AI teammates that can be commanded individually or as a group. Gear customization, realistic gun mechanics, several multiplayer modes, and upcoming Steam Workshop mod tools round out the experience.

Campaign Structure
The campaign consists of nine missions set in the fictional Eastern European nation of Salobia. Each mission follows the elite team as they respond to SBR attacks and work toward locating leader Marko Antonov, requiring teamwork and communication.
Solo play replaces missing teammates with three AI characters that react intelligently and accept player‑issued commands. Players may decide how much control to exert, from issuing specific orders to allowing autonomous behavior.
- Discuss the mission objective with teammates before starting.
- Use AI command options to delegate tasks such as breaching or covering fire.

Loadout Customisation
Before each mission, players select weapons, attachments, ammo type and amount, armor, grenades, tools, and camouflage patterns. The same customization applies to AI teammates, allowing coordinated loadouts that match the chosen tactical approach.
Teams can adopt stealth configurations—such as suppressed weapons, IR lasers, and NVGs—or opt for heavy armor and abundant ammunition for aggressive assaults. The gear chosen directly influences mission success.
- Match weapon range to expected engagement distances.
- Synchronise AI loadouts with your own to avoid redundant equipment.

Realistic Gunplay
Every weapon features distinct handling, rate of fire, muzzle velocity, effective range and accuracy. Ammo type further affects penetration, damage against armor, and trajectory, shaping how each shot behaves in combat.
Success depends on understanding each weapon’s profile and selecting the appropriate loadout for the mission’s tactical demands, rather than relying on simple point‑and‑click mechanics.
- Test weapon handling in low‑risk encounters before critical engagements.
- Consider armor‑piercing ammo when facing heavily protected enemies.

Multiplayer Modes
Thunder Tier One offers four multiplayer experiences. Exfil is a 4v4 mode where attackers must exfiltrate a package within a time limit while defenders try to stop them. Advance and Secure is a 4v4 contest for sector control.
Death Match supports up to eight players in a free‑for‑all. Domination is a PvE mode for up to four players who race against the clock to secure checkpoints, disarm explosives, and defend against counter‑attacks.
- In Exfil, prioritize speed and route planning for the attacking team.
- Defenders should set up layered choke points to delay the opposing team.

A modding tool with Steam Workshop integration will be released after launch. Players will be able to add or modify missions, weapons, AI behavior, equipment and other game elements.
This support encourages community‑created content, extending the game's lifespan and allowing personalized experiences beyond the built‑in modes.
