About The Universim

The Universim places you in a god‑like role over a fledgling civilization called “nuggets.” You guide them from Stone Age cave painters through successive ages until they become space‑faring explorers, using research, resource management, and direct divine powers.

Each world you encounter is procedurally generated with its own ecosystems and challenges. Managing ecological balance, expanding colonies, and uncovering a deeper cosmic story are all part of the single‑player experience.

01 / THE GUIDE

Divine Powers

You can wield more than fifteen godly powers, including creating tornadoes, striking lightning, and reshaping terrain. These powers let you intervene directly in the world you shape, either to protect followers or to correct mistakes.

Using a power produces an immediate, observable effect on the environment and on nugget behavior, allowing you to assess the impact before deciding on further interventions.

  • Observe the immediate effect of each power before applying another.
  • Consider the scale of a power relative to the area you wish to influence.

02 / THE GUIDE

Nugget Evolution

Nuggets start as Stone Age cave painters and progress through distinct ages until they become star‑faring explorers. Their advancement follows your guidance, research choices, and the world you shape.

Each age marks a new stage of development, requiring you to adjust resource priorities and ecological management as the civilization matures.

  • Watch age transitions to anticipate new resource needs.
  • Balance technological growth with ecological stability to avoid setbacks.

Procedural Planets

Every planet in The Universim is procedurally generated, offering unique ecosystems and challenges. This ensures each playthrough presents fresh challenges.

Colonising a planet requires you to assess its characteristics and adapt strategies to its specific conditions and hazards.

  • Scout terrain before committing large projects.
  • Match planetary resources to current research goals for efficient expansion.

04 / THE GUIDE

Research Perks

The game includes more than 200 research perks covering technological and societal advancements. Unlocking perks helps shape your civilization’s development path.

Choosing perks shapes the civilization’s development path, letting you prioritise space travel, ecological resilience, or cultural advancement.

  • Prioritise perks that address immediate planetary challenges.
  • Combine technological and societal perks for balanced growth.

05 / THE GUIDE

Ecological Balance

Planetary ecosystems are delicate; your decisions affect climate, resource availability, and nugget survival. Mismanagement can trigger ecological disasters.

Steady stewardship of extraction, agriculture, and natural preservation helps maintain long‑term prosperity and prevents catastrophic events.

  • Track climate indicators to anticipate stress.
  • Implement gradual changes rather than abrupt alterations.
