About The I of the Dragon
The I of the Dragon places you in the world of Nimoa, a landscape that appears serene but hides a deep, ancient evil centered on the daemon Skarborr. As a young dragon you must soar the skies, battle foes, and ultimately confront the giant daemon.
Three distinct dragons—Annoth, Barroth, and Morrogh—offer fire, ice, or acid‑based abilities that evolve into combat, wizard, or sniper styles. Across twelve vast territories you also build and defend human settlements while managing other characters on critical missions.
01 / THE GUIDE
Dragon Selection
At the start you choose one of three dragons: Annoth the Fire Breather, Barroth the magician, or Morrogh the Necromancer. Each dragon possesses a unique elemental focus—fire, ice, or acid—and a distinct playstyle.
The chosen dragon determines how you approach enemies and which spells become available as you progress, shaping the overall combat experience.
- Consider the elemental strengths of each dragon against the types of enemies you expect to face.
- Experiment early to discover which dragon’s growth path aligns with your preferred tactics.

Combat Development
Throughout the adventure you develop the dragon’s combat abilities, unlocking more powerful attacks to meet tougher enemies. Over sixty spells with special effects become accessible as you advance.
Your dragon can evolve into a battle, wizard, or sniper archetype, allowing you to tailor offensive strategies for each encounter, including the final battle with Skarborr.
- Prioritize spells that complement your dragon’s elemental base for smoother progression.
- Balance offensive upgrades with defensive options to handle increasingly resilient foes.

Territory Exploration
The game features twelve unique territories—mountains, deserts, forests, savanna, and more—each covering over ten square kilometers. These areas host diverse monsters and environmental challenges.
Real‑time terra‑forming lets mountain ranges disappear or reappear elsewhere, while dynamic lighting creates distinct day, sunset, and night atmospheres.
- Use terra‑forming strategically to create shortcuts or avoid hazardous zones.
- Observe lighting cues; some enemies behave differently under night skies.

Settlement Management
Beyond aerial combat, you must build, maintain, and defend human settlements scattered across the map. These settlements serve as bases for missions involving a warlord, a hunter, and three massive creatures with riders.
Successful settlement defense supports your overall progress and provides resources needed for later battles against magical generators and Skarborr.
- Allocate dragon attacks to protect key structures during settlement sieges.
- Coordinate with the warlord and hunter missions to reduce enemy pressure on settlements.

Time Control Feature
A Time Control option lets you adjust the game’s speed to suit your play style. You can enable slow‑motion mode, which adds a visual effect while giving you more reaction time during intense aerial combat.
This feature works alongside the day‑night cycle, allowing you to experience sunsets, starry nights, and dynamic lighting at a pace you choose.
- Activate slow‑motion during boss encounters to better anticipate attack patterns.
- Adjust speed for exploration to cover large territories without feeling rushed.
