About The Final Earth 2
The Final Earth 2 lets you grow a vertical city from an exploration ship into a sprawling metropolis across many worlds. You gather resources, construct a wide variety of buildings, and research technology while watching thousands of fully simulated citizens live their lives.
The game includes a story set in 2142, as well as Free Play and Creative modes for unrestricted building. Mod support through the Steam Workshop and an original soundtrack by Stijn Cappetijn add extra depth to the relaxed, creative experience.
01 / THE GUIDE
City Building
You can build a huge city with thousands of fully simulated inhabitants and choose from over a hundred different buildings. The design can range from a green hippie paradise to a massive industrial complex, and it may occupy a single world or many worlds.
Multiple associated cities can be managed at once, allowing you to send resources and people between them. You can also follow individual citizens to observe unique routines such as a chaotic commute or quiet stargazing.
- Observe citizen paths to notice where traffic naturally forms.
- Use the city‑wide view to locate clusters of similar building types.
02 / THE GUIDE
Resource Management
Gather, manage and balance various resources to keep your population thriving. Resources such as food must be produced and allocated as your city expands and new worlds are colonized.
Transport options such as teleporters or landing pads are available for moving resources between cities, giving you flexibility in how you design supply routes.
- Check resource levels regularly to avoid shortages during expansion.
- Experiment with different transport structures to see how they fit your layout.

Game Modes
The story mode follows a narrative set in 2142, guiding you from a starving ship to a future metropolis. It provides scenarios that introduce basic mechanics and objectives.
Free Play removes story constraints, letting you build without predefined goals, while Creative mode offers unrestricted construction tools for large‑scale projects.
- Try story mode first to learn the basic building and research systems.
- Switch to Free Play when you want to experiment without scenario limits.

Exploration & Worlds
Explore the universe with the rocket, discovering new worlds to colonize when your current planet becomes too small. Each discovered world can host its own city.
Expanding to additional worlds lets you spread development across multiple planets, giving you more space for buildings and resources.
- Scout several worlds before committing large constructions.
- Consider the size of each world when planning where to place major facilities.

Modding Support
Steam Workshop integration lets you install community‑made mods or create your own. Mods can change various aspects of the game beyond the base content.
Using mods gives you additional freedom to shape the appearance or functionality of your city beyond the base game content.
- Browse the Workshop for building packs that match your aesthetic goals.
- Test new mods in a separate save before applying them to a main city.
