About The Crew 2

The Crew™ 2 offers an open‑world racing experience that spans the entire United States. Players can drive, fly, or sail across diverse landscapes while completing events that appear throughout the map.

Available on Windows, the title supports solo play, online play, and a new Hybrid mode that lets you switch between offline and online sessions. The community exceeds 30 million players and the game includes both PvP and co‑op options.

01 / THE GUIDE

Open World USA

The game world covers the whole United States, featuring coastlines, mountains, deserts and cities. Every area can be reached using any vehicle type, allowing seamless travel between disciplines.

Events are scattered across the map, encouraging players to explore new routes and discover hidden locations while completing races, stunts or other challenges.

  • Use the in‑game map to spot clusters of events before heading out.
  • Plan a route that lets you change vehicle types without backtracking.

02 / THE GUIDE

Vehicle Variety

Hundreds of vehicles are available, ranging from cars and motorcycles to boats and aircraft. Each vehicle belongs to a specific discipline, such as street racing or aerial stunts.

The roster lets you switch between disciplines without leaving the open world, so you can race on a track, then take off in a plane for a sky‑high challenge.

  • Try a few different vehicle classes to see which handling you prefer.
  • Swap vehicles to match the discipline required by the next event.

Game Modes

Dozens of game modes, tracks and seasonal events are added each season, covering traditional races, stunt challenges and other objectives.

Both PvP and co‑op options exist, allowing players to compete directly against each other or team up to complete shared goals.

  • Check seasonal updates for new modes that suit your interests.
  • Mix PvP and co‑op sessions to keep the experience varied.

Multiplayer Options

Online sessions can include up to seven friends, supporting competitive PvP as well as cooperative play. Steam Achievements and captions are integrated for additional tracking and accessibility.

Partial controller support and remote play on phone or tablet let players join sessions from different devices, though the core experience runs on Windows.

  • Coordinate with friends before joining to decide on race or co‑op focus.
  • Use remote play when you need to stay connected away from your PC.

05 / THE GUIDE

Hybrid Mode

Hybrid mode lets you play The Crew 2 offline or online, merging the original online structure with a solo‑friendly approach. It is available now and offers flexibility for different play preferences.

While offline, you can still explore the map and complete events; later you can reconnect online to share achievements or compete with others.

  • Use Hybrid mode to practice routes before joining an online race.
  • Switch to online after offline play to compare times with friends.
