About Tank Battle Classic
Tank Battle Classic is a single‑player action title that puts you behind World War II tanks on retro‑styled battlefields. The game replaces a health bar with a penetration system: a single penetrating shot can destroy the vehicle.
Players earn points from missions to purchase additional tanks and can adjust performance parameters such as speed or reload before each mission. The title runs on Windows, offers partial controller support, Steam Cloud saves, and Family Sharing.
01 / THE GUIDE
Armor & Penetration
The game does not use hit points; instead, a single penetrating shot can destroy it. Armor thickness varies by vehicle model and by specific armor sections, so some areas are inherently more vulnerable.
Penetration chance is influenced by the angle at which a projectile strikes and by the distance to the target. Targeting flatter angles and considering range can affect whether a shot penetrates.
- Observe the silhouette of enemy tanks to estimate armor angles before firing.
- Experiment with different distances to see how penetration probability changes.

Battlefields
Five map types are available: suburban, urban, forest, mountain, and open plain. Each map presents its own layout of cover, line‑of‑sight, and terrain features that affect tank movement and engagement options.
Future updates are planned to add additional battlefields, expanding the environmental variety beyond the current five types.
- Try a forest map to make use of natural cover.
- Use a mountain map to test how elevation influences line‑of‑sight.

Missions
Missions are categorized into close‑range combat in cover‑rich settings, long‑range interception battles, dense fog encounters, and escort operations. Each type presents distinct tactical considerations based on range and visibility.
Additional mission types are slated for future updates, promising further variety in objectives and environmental challenges.
- Match a tank with higher reload speed to interception missions.
- Select a tank with good maneuverability for close‑range, cover‑heavy missions.

Vehicle Roster
The initial roster features a range of World War II vehicles, including Soviet tanks such as the BT‑7 and T‑34 series, German tanks like the Panther G and Tiger II, and assorted half‑tracks and assault guns.
The developers have announced that more vehicles will be added in future updates, allowing the roster to grow over time.
- Compare the armor thickness of a light tank versus a heavy tank to see how survivability differs.
- Test a vehicle’s speed against its firepower to identify a balance that fits a mission’s demands.

Game Systems
Completing missions awards points that can be spent to purchase new tanks, expanding the options available for subsequent battles. Points are the sole currency mentioned for acquiring additional vehicles.
Before each mission, players may select both friendly and enemy vehicle models and can adjust performance parameters such as movement speed or reload time to suit the mission’s requirements.
- Allocate earned points toward a tank that matches the terrain of upcoming missions.
- Adjust movement speed when planning to fight on maps with tight corridors.
