About Synergism
Synergism is an idle incremental game that builds on the idea of synergy with many prestige layers, hundreds of achievements, and hand‑drawn pixel‑art icons. Players start with 100 coins and a single worker that remains part of the loop as the game expands.
The title has been actively developed since July 2019 and released to the web on May 1 2020. It runs on Windows and macOS, supports Steam Cloud saves, and offers both Mouse Only and Touch Only input options.
01 / THE GUIDE
Starting Out
The game opens with a modest 100‑coin stash and the option to hire the first worker. That worker provides the initial production source and is referenced later, illustrating the design principle that early actions persist.
Subsequent upgrades and prestige mechanics continue to involve that original worker, showing how the early loop integrates with later layers without requiring a separate setup.
- Observe how early worker upgrades affect later resource totals.
- Compare the cost of hiring additional workers versus improving the first.

Achievement System
Synergism tracks almost 500 achievements, with 100 curated specifically for Steam. The large pool gives players many milestones to pursue across the game's depth.
Future updates promise additional achievements, indicating that the system is intended to grow alongside the game's content.
- Identify the 100 achievements curated for the Steam release.
- Use the achievement list to discover less‑explored mechanics.

Challenge System
A built‑in challenge system adds self‑reinforcing layers that develop repeatedly. Each challenge imposes new constraints or goals that modify the core loop.
The description emphasizes that challenges develop “again, and again, and again,” highlighting their recurring nature within the game.
- Read the challenge description before starting to understand its modifiers.
- Experiment with different challenges to see how each changes resource flow.

Audio & Visual Style
All upgrade icons are hand‑drawn pixel art, giving a consistent visual identity from early to late stages. This artistic choice is noted in the game’s description.
The soundtrack contains over a hundred references that players can try to recognise, and random Easter‑egg references appear throughout the loosely connected story.
- Pause to note recurring visual motifs that may hint at upgrade paths.
- Listen for familiar musical cues that could signal hidden references.

Online Interaction
Certain events can be activated by other online players, adding a communal element to the otherwise single‑player experience.
Developers also schedule occasional events, and the Ant God is mentioned as wanting Galactic Crumbs, showing that the game includes both player‑triggered and developer‑hosted content.
- Check community forums for timings of player‑triggered events.
- Participate in developer‑hosted events to experience unique content.
