About Swarmvore
Swarmvore places you in command of a mass of tiny predators that must devour, evolve, and descend through a pit filled with living, armed structures. Each run is a race against hunger, where you bite through defenses, gather biomass, and buy instant upgrades to keep the swarm alive.
Between runs you return Essence to the Nest, unlocking permanent evolutions called genes, equipping up to two, and selecting a mutation that alters growth, survival, or attack. The game also offers optional automation, camera framing choices, zoom and effect adjustments, and a tutorial that explains the basic controls and resources.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Gameplay Loop
During a run you direct the swarm to bite through enemy structures, collect biomass, and spend that biomass on upgrades that appear instantly. The upgrades help the swarm survive longer, allowing deeper progress within the same run.
Each depth concludes with a timed duel. Defeating the Core finishes the campaign, after which you may replay depths or attempt optional challenges that reuse the same loop of devouring, evolving, and descending.
- Observe how quickly biomass accumulates before spending it; early purchases can change the swarm’s growth rate.
- Try letting the swarm expand briefly before intervening with an upgrade to see how natural growth affects later stages.

Evolution and Genes
When a run ends you bring Essence back to the Nest, which unlocks permanent evolutions known as genes. You can equip up to two genes for the next run, shaping the swarm’s baseline capabilities.
In addition to genes you choose a mutation that changes how the swarm grows, survives, or attacks. These selections persist across runs, letting you adapt to deeper depths by adjusting permanent upgrades.
- Pair a defensive gene with an offensive mutation to cover both survivability and damage.
- Track which gene combinations let you survive longer before reaching the next depth.

Active Powers
Six active powers—Pincer, Bellow, Spectral Tide, Fracture, Fulguration, and Artillery—are available to respond to enemy fire. Together these powers can disrupt weapons, cut structures, launch electric strikes, or deploy drones.
Timing matters for each power, especially when the swarm is under fire. Using a power at the right moment can reduce damage taken and open new paths through defenses.
- Activate a power when enemy fire peaks to maximize its disruptive effect.
- Experiment with different power orders to see which sequence fits your current swarm composition.

Depth Progression
The game features depths numbered 0–10. As you descend, structures and threats evolve, requiring new strategies for each level. Every depth ends with a timed duel against a Core.
Reaching depth 10 and devouring the final Core completes the main campaign. After completion you can revisit earlier depths or attempt optional challenges that reuse the same depth framework.
- Notice how enemy patterns shift with each depth to anticipate new hazards.
- After unlocking new genes, replay earlier depths to test how the changes affect performance.

Camera and UI Options
Swarmvore lets you choose automatic or fixed camera framing, adjust zoom, and modify effect intensity. You can also rally the swarm to direct its attention toward a specific target.
An introductory tutorial explains the controls and resources. Progress can be preserved when updating, and a fresh start is offered as an optional way to experience revised progression.
- Set zoom to a level that lets you see incoming threats without crowding the screen.
- Use the rally command sparingly to focus the swarm on high‑value targets.
