About Supermarket Chaos

Supermarket Chaos is a cozy simulation where you restore order to a chaotic store by placing thousands of items into their proper sections. The game features over 4,000 products across 16 categories and lets you work at your own pace without time limits or failure states. Three distinct maps, including a Super Super Supermarket, provide varied layouts, and up to four players can cooperate online. Skill upgrades improve carrying capacity and searching, while visual progress offers quiet satisfaction.

01 / THE GUIDE

Map Selection

Three maps are available: a standard supermarket, a dream‑like convenience store, and the expansive Super Super Supermarket. Each map defines the layout of shelves and the total number of items to arrange.

The original supermarket map now supports symmetrical product placement and holds 4,669 items, while the Super Super Supermarket challenges players with 9,999 items.

  • Start with the smallest map to learn item locations before tackling the larger Super Super Supermarket.
  • Use the symmetrical layout of the original map to predict where matching items belong.

02 / THE GUIDE

Co‑op Multiplayer

Up to four players can organize the store together, each wearing a costume of their choice. Multiplayer is online and requires the separate Friends add‑on.

All players share the same shelves, so coordination helps fill sections faster, but each can work independently at their own speed.

  • Communicate which sections you’re handling to avoid duplicate effort.
  • Dress in contrasting costumes to quickly identify teammates during chaotic moments.

Skill Upgrades

As you place items, you unlock upgrades that affect movement, carrying capacity, and searching efficiency. These upgrades make the organizing process smoother.

Upgrades are optional and can be applied at any time, allowing you to tailor the experience to your preferred pace.

  • Prioritize carrying upgrades if you prefer moving many items at once.
  • Invest in searching upgrades to locate correct sections more quickly.

04 / THE GUIDE

Product Placement Mechanics

Pick up each scattered product, locate its designated section, and match it to the correct price tag. The game emphasizes checking item names and locations before placement.

There are 16 sections—including fruit, tea, frozen foods, books, wine, and ramen—each with its own visual cues.

  • Memorize the color or icon of each section to speed up identification.
  • Place items in batches per section to see immediate visual progress.

05 / THE GUIDE

Relaxed Atmosphere

The game has no time limits, no game‑over states, and allows you to save anytime. This creates a low‑pressure environment where you can pause and resume at will.

Visual feedback—empty shelves filling up—provides a quiet sense of satisfaction as each section completes.

  • Take breaks between sections to enjoy the growing sense of order.
  • Adjust volume controls for a calm auditory backdrop.
