About Sultan's Game
Sultan's Game is a dark fantasy resource-management RPG set in an Arabian-inspired court. You play a lowly minister serving an insane Sultan, trapped in a deadly game in which a card is drawn each week—Carnality, Extravagance, Conquest, or Bloodshed—and you have seven days to obey its demand or face the executioner's axe. Time, allies, and resources must be allocated carefully as each wasted hour brings the headsman nearer.
The game offers more than fifty possible endings, ranging from dying a loyal sycophant to slaying dragons, summoning the apocalypse, or killing a god. Players build a deck of allies, tools, and secrets to counter assassins and supernatural threats, while ancient gods watch from beyond and tempt with forbidden power. Strategy, not luck, determines survival, and choices ripple through the story across multiple lifetimes.
01 / THE GUIDE
Weekly Card Demands
Each week a card—Carnality, Extravagance, Conquest, or Bloodshed—is drawn, dictating a specific demand you must meet within seven days. Failure triggers the executioner's axe, ending the playthrough.
The card mechanic creates a ticking clock, forcing players to prioritize actions and allocate resources before the sand runs out.
- Plan actions early in the week to leave buffer time for unexpected events.
- Focus on meeting the current card's demand before pursuing optional side goals.

Allies and Resource Allocation
You allocate allies and manage resources to satisfy card demands while defending against assassins and supernatural threats. Every hour wasted brings the headsman closer, making efficient use of assets essential.
Resources include wealth, secrets, and influence, each contributing to survival and enabling the strategic sacrifices the court's deadly politics demand.
- Balance short-term needs with long-term influence to keep options open.
- Invest in allies that provide multiple utility types.
