About Stacklands

Stacklands is a village‑building card game where you stack cards to generate food, construct buildings, and trigger battles. Dragging a Villager onto a resource such as a Berry Bush creates consumable food cards for your population.

The game offers over 200 cards, dozens of ideas, and more than 50 quests. Coins from selling cards let you buy themed Card Packs, while Idea Cards reveal new recipes that expand your village over a 5‑7 hour play session.

01 / THE GUIDE

Card Stacking Mechanics

Placing a Villager card onto a Berry Bush card instantly creates Berry cards, which can be collected and later consumed by villagers.

Idea Cards describe specific combos; for instance, stacking two Wood cards, one Stone card, and a Villager card produces a House card.

  • Try stacking villagers on different resource cards to see which food cards appear.
  • Refer to Idea Cards for known building recipes before stacking.

02 / THE GUIDE

Food Management

Each Moon ends with a requirement to feed every villager; insufficient food causes villagers to starve.

Food cards are generated by stacking villagers with resource cards such as Berry Bushes, then harvesting the resulting food before the Moon concludes.

  • Monitor your food card count before the Moon ends.
  • Sell excess resource cards early to generate coins for more packs.

Combat System

When a Villager contacts an evil creature, the game automatically starts a battle without further player input.

Equipping villagers with weapons or grouping multiple villagers can increase their combat effectiveness against enemies like Goblins, Bears, and Rats.

  • Pair villagers with weapons when facing stronger enemies.
  • Group multiple villagers together to increase battle success.

04 / THE GUIDE

Card Packs and Idea Cards

Coins earned from selling cards can purchase Card Packs, each centered on themes such as Cooking, Farming, or Building.

Idea Cards reveal new recipes; the example recipe creates a House card by stacking two Wood, one Stone, and a Villager.

  • Save coins for packs that match your current resource needs.
  • Collect Idea Cards early to broaden available recipes.

05 / THE GUIDE

Quests and Progression

The game includes over 50 quests that direct players toward specific card collections or village milestones.

Completing quests contributes to the overall 5‑7 hour playtime and can unlock additional ideas or card packs.

  • Check the quest list regularly to prioritize achievable goals.
  • Balance quest rewards with food production to avoid starvation.
