About Spilled!

Spilled! is a short, single‑player adventure where you clean up oil spills, recycle waste, and rescue animals. The game lasts about an hour, but a level selector lets you pause and return whenever you like.

Eight increasingly larger areas span different biomes, each with bigger spills and new waste types. Collect coins, upgrade your boat, and explore to find all 16 hidden animals while enjoying full controller support and Steam achievements.

01 / THE GUIDE

Game length and pacing

The core experience of Spilled! can be completed in roughly one hour, making it a quick, casual play session. The level selector allows you to stop at any point and resume later, so you can unwind at your own speed.

Because there are no wrong ways to play, you may also choose to linger in each area, exploring biomes and completing optional tasks without a strict time pressure.

  • Try finishing one area before checking the level selector to keep a sense of progression.
  • If you prefer a relaxed pace, use the level selector after each spill you clean.

02 / THE GUIDE

Area progression

Spilled! features eight areas that grow larger and contain bigger oil spills and new waste types as you advance. Each new area introduces a different biome, adding visual variety to the cleanup tasks.

Progression is tied to boat upgrades, which let you handle the larger spills and diverse waste found in later zones.

  • Upgrade your boat after each area to stay prepared for the next larger spill.
  • Notice how each biome changes the look of the environment; it can help you track progress.

Boat upgrades and recycling

Collecting coins from cleaned waste lets you upgrade your boat, improving its ability to tackle bigger spills. Recycling oil is part of the core loop, turning waste into resources for upgrades.

Upgrades are optional but useful for handling the increasing challenge of later areas.

  • Focus on recycling oil early to accumulate coins for upgrades.
  • Compare the boat’s performance before and after upgrades to see the impact.

04 / THE GUIDE

Animal rescue

Sixteen cute animals are hidden throughout the game. Finding and rescuing them adds an extra objective beyond cleaning spills, encouraging exploration of each biome.

Animals are spread throughout the game, so keep an eye out as you progress.

  • Take a moment to look around each spill site; animals are often near waste piles.
  • Use the animal count as a checklist to ensure you’ve explored each area fully.
