About Soulash 2
Soulash 2 drops you into a world where the gods are gone and every map is procedurally generated with its own simulated history of trade, war and settlement growth. You can shape that world by conquering, crafting, farming, trading or building monuments that outlive a single lifetime.
The game mixes sandbox freedom, role‑playing depth and roguelike stakes. Three distinct death modes let you decide how permanent loss feels, while a skill‑based progression system unlocks new actions as you explore, craft, fight or construct. Full controller support and Steam Workshop tools round out the single‑player experience.
01 / THE GUIDE
Procedural World Generation
Each world in Soulash 2 is created on the fly, featuring settlements that develop from trade routes, resource extraction, occupations and the outcomes of wars. This simulated history gives every map a unique political and economic landscape before the player even arrives.
The generated environment includes varied biomes—forests, tundras, deserts—allowing players to encounter different challenges and opportunities for expansion, whether building a hut in a forest or a black pyramid in a sun‑scorched desert.
- Observe how trade routes influence settlement size before committing resources.
- Compare biomes to decide where your preferred building style will thrive.

Skill‑Based Progression
Progression in Soulash 2 is tied to activities rather than a fixed level chart. Performing actions such as exploring, crafting, fighting or building unlocks new abilities and actions, encouraging players to blend roles like artisan, pyromancer or warrior.
The system lets you unlock new abilities and actions through the activities you perform, encouraging unique combinations of powers and tools that reflect the disciplines you focus on.
- Focus on a single activity early to see which new abilities and actions it unlocks.
- Mix contrasting activities to discover unexpected ability synergies.

Innovative Crafting System
Crafting uses recipes with slots of different types that accept magical ingredients. By fitting unique ingredients into these slots, items gain special properties, offering deep customization beyond simple stat changes.
Resources gathered from the world feed these recipes, letting players create extraordinary artifacts that reflect their chosen playstyle, whether as a merchant, thief or war‑lord.
- Experiment with different ingredient combinations to discover hidden properties.
- Track which resources fill each slot type most effectively for future crafting.

Legacy Building
Players can erect a range of structures—from humble forest huts to towering ice‑encrusted towers. You can bring families to your settlement to work in fields and shops, gathering resources and crafting products.
Structures also serve narrative purposes: temples garner adoration, castles dominate hills, and black pyramids project a sinister influence, allowing players to leave a lasting mark on the procedurally generated world.
- Place structures near resource‑rich areas to maximize family productivity.
- Contrast building styles to see how different structures affect settlement output.

Death Modes
Soulash 2 offers three modes that define how death is handled. High Fantasy Mode penalizes death but resurrects you nearby, keeping the world centered on your character. Dark Fantasy Mode erases your character while preserving your creations, letting a new avatar continue your influence.
Hardcore Mode applies full permadeath, removing both character and world, delivering a pure roguelike challenge. Selecting a mode tailors the risk‑reward balance to match the player’s preferred level of permanence.
- Try High Fantasy Mode first to learn world mechanics before tackling harsher modes.
- Use Dark Fantasy Mode to experiment with large‑scale projects without risking total loss.
