About Slice & Dice

Slice & Dice is a tactical dice‑battle roguelike where you command five heroes, each wielding a distinct die. You must survive twenty procedurally generated monster levels and defeat a final boss, with any loss resetting the run.

The game blends 3D dice physics, turn‑based puzzles, and a massive amount of content—over a hundred hero classes, dozens of monsters, and hundreds of items. It also includes a level editor, online leaderboards, Steam achievements, and Steam Cloud support.

01 / THE GUIDE

Combat System

Combat proceeds in simple turn‑based rounds. Each hero rolls its unique die and you may choose which dice to reroll, turning every turn into a small puzzle.

The dice are rendered with 3D physics, and the game lets you undo actions as much as you like, allowing experimentation before committing to a move.

  • Experiment with different reroll choices early to discover which dice give the most useful results for your heroes.
  • Use the unlimited undo to test risky combos without risking a run loss.

02 / THE GUIDE

Hero Progression

After each encounter you can level up a hero or gain an item, expanding strategic options for later fights. The game lists 128 hero classes, each with its own die.

There are 473 items in total, and each can alter a hero’s capabilities, encouraging experimentation with different builds as you advance.

  • Balance hero leveling with item acquisition to keep your team adaptable.
  • Track which items you receive to see how they affect each hero’s performance.

03 / THE GUIDE

Randomly‑Generated Encounters

Each of the twenty levels presents a randomly generated set of monsters, ensuring no two playthroughs are identical. There are 73 monster types to contend with.

Because layouts and enemy compositions change each run, you must adapt dice strategies on the fly, reinforcing the roguelike’s emphasis on planning and luck.

  • Observe monster patterns early in a level to adjust your reroll strategy.
  • Keep a mix of hero dice that can handle both single‑target and area threats.

Modding & Game Modes

The title advertises “Too many modes” and “Weird modding,” indicating a variety of optional play styles beyond the core campaign. An included level editor lets you craft custom encounters.

These extra modes and community‑created content extend replayability, allowing experimentation with different rulesets, curses, or custom monster arrangements.

  • Explore the level editor to design scenarios that test specific dice combos.
  • Try community‑made modes for fresh challenges after finishing the main campaign.

05 / THE GUIDE

Leaderboards & Achievements

Online leaderboards track player performance, while Steam achievements reward in-game milestones.

Achievements are integrated with Steam, and the game lists Steam Cloud support.

  • Check the leaderboard to gauge how your final scores compare with other players.
  • Review the achievement list to set personal goals beyond simply finishing the game.
