About Slayaway Camp
Slayaway Camp is a puzzle title where you slide the voxel‑styled slasher Skullface across isometric grids, using each move to trigger traps that eliminate camp counselors and other hazards. The game blends logical movement with over‑the‑top gore as a tongue‑in‑cheek tribute to 1980s horror cinema.
The base offering contains ten “videotape” chapters plus deleted‑scene levels, totaling more than 200 puzzles. An optional NC‑17 mode adds censored shower scenes and extra puzzle insanity, while the title runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and includes partial controller support, Steam achievements, cloud saves and family sharing.

Puzzle Structure
Each level appears on an isometric grid; Skullface slides one space per move, and the player must position him so that environmental hazards such as land mines, SWAT teams or rotary phones eliminate the victims. The slide‑based logic is consistent across all chapters, forming the core challenge of the game.
The ten “videotape” chapters group levels by theme, and the deleted‑scene collection adds further layouts that reuse the same slide‑and‑kill rules while introducing new trap placements. This organization provides a clear progression of difficulty without altering the fundamental mechanics.
- Survey the whole grid before moving; a single slide can trigger multiple hazards.
- Plan routes that let a hazard eliminate more than one target in a single move.

Killer Unlocks
The base game features Skullface and a secondary character, Jessica, voiced by Derek Mears. Additional psycho killers become available, some modeled after cult‑horror titles such as “American Mary,” expanding the visual roster of slayers.
These extra killers are unlocked within the game, expanding the roster of slayers so players can experience the puzzles with varied aesthetics.
- Try each unlocked killer to notice how different animations affect visual feedback.
- Compare the aesthetic of cult‑movie killers with the original to appreciate thematic references.

Gorepack Kill Scenes
Dozens of “Gorepack” scenes provide elaborate kill animations, featuring items like wood‑chippers, lawnmowers and even Sumerian demon incantations. These animations play when a victim is eliminated, adding visual flair without changing puzzle logic.
The gore is rendered in bright voxel style, reinforcing the game’s comedic horror tone while delivering a satisfying visual payoff for each solved puzzle.
- Watch the gore animations to learn which environmental objects produce the most dramatic effects.
- Use visual cues from gorepacks to anticipate the outcome of a planned slide.

NC‑17 Mode
An optional NC‑17 mode can be unlocked for all movies, adding censored shower scenes and extra puzzle insanity. The mode does not alter level layouts; it only changes the presentation of kills and certain scenes.
Once NC‑17 is unlocked, players can choose between a more visceral visual experience and the standard, less graphic presentation while keeping the same logical challenges.
- Enable NC‑17 if you prefer the full visual intensity of the kills.
- Switch back to standard mode for a lighter visual experience during casual play.

Platform Features
Slayaway Camp is available on Windows, macOS and Linux through Steam and includes partial controller support, Steam achievements, trading cards, cloud saves and family sharing. These features are integrated via the Steam client and do not affect the core puzzle gameplay.
The game lists partial controller support, so gamepad functionality may be limited, while Steam Cloud keeps progress synchronized for the same Steam account across multiple devices.
- Enable Steam Cloud to ensure your puzzle progress travels with your account.
- Experiment with controller input if you prefer a gamepad over mouse navigation.
