About Slasher's Keep
Slasher's Keep is a first‑person roguelite that centers on melee combat, loot, and procedural dungeons. Players start imprisoned in a towering keep, and each death creates a new dungeon, and the character grows stronger with each run.
The title offers two starter characters, a drag‑and‑drop crafting system, magic wands for ranged attacks, and a cartoon visual style built from cel‑shaded models and hand‑drawn sprites. It runs on Windows and includes Steam achievements, cloud saves, partial controller support, and family sharing.

Roguelite Loop
Each run begins in the depths of Slasher's Keep and ends when the player dies. Upon death a new dungeon is generated, and the player grows stronger with each run.
Randomly generated levels, traps, and secrets mean that each attempt presents a fresh layout, encouraging exploration and adaptation on every run.
- Track which traps appear most often to improve early‑run survivability.
- Compare loot across runs to identify consistently useful upgrades.

Dynamic Melee Combat
Combat features swings, thrusts, and precise parrying. Enemies can be smacked into spikes and chasms using your inventory sack, adding a tactical element to melee encounters.
The system rewards timing and positioning, making each enemy encounter feel distinct based on the player's chosen attack style.
- Practice parry timing to turn foes against environmental hazards.
- Vary swings and thrusts to keep enemies off‑balance.

Drag‑and‑Drop Crafting
Items collected during runs can be combined using a drag‑and‑drop interface accessed from the inventory sack, creating new gear that modifies stats or grants abilities.
Crafted items may influence combat style, offering a way to tailor the character without altering core mechanics.
- Combine similar items first to discover base upgrades.
- Record successful recipes for quick reference in later runs.

- Track unlocked characters to plan future runs.

Cartoon Visual Style
The game presents a cartoon aesthetic built from cel‑shaded 3D models and hand‑drawn 2D sprites, creating a stylized look that contrasts with its dark setting.
This visual blend enhances readability of combat actions, traps, enemies, and loot, supporting quick decision‑making during fast‑paced runs.
- Use the clear visual contrast to spot hidden secrets.
- Notice sprite cues for enemy attack telegraphs.
