About Size Matters
Size Matters puts you in the shoes of a scientist who has accidentally consumed a chemical that makes him shrink every second. The constant reduction in size turns the laboratory into a vertical platforming puzzle as you scramble to reach equipment and ingredients.
Your objective is to locate formulas, operate lab machines, and combine three key ingredients in the Antidote Producer before the shrinkage reaches the game‑over threshold. Settings let you adjust start height, double‑jump count, and processing times, letting you fine‑tune the difficulty.

Continuous Shrinking
The scientist shrinks automatically each second after ingesting the chemical. As his stature diminishes, platforms and devices that were once reachable become out of reach, forcing you to constantly reassess your path.
When the character becomes too small, the game ends immediately, preventing any further interaction with the laboratory. This creates a time pressure that drives the platforming challenge.
- Watch the shrink animation early to gauge how quickly you lose height.
- Plan routes that use higher surfaces first, before they disappear.

Laboratory Machines
Scattered throughout the lab are machines such as the Chemical Processor, The Reverter, Code Combiner, and Antidote Producer. Each discovered formula is linked to one specific machine, dictating where an ingredient can be produced.
Operating a machine requires the correct formula and, when needed, previously crafted components. Successful use can generate new ingredients that feed into later formulas or become one of the three essential antidote parts.
- Group machines that share formulas to reduce travel as you shrink.
- Keep a note of which formula belongs to each device for quicker access.

Creating the Antidote
The final goal is to place the three key ingredients into the Antidote Producer. Ingredients are obtained by following formulas and processing them on the appropriate machines.
When all three components are inside the Antidote Producer, the cure is synthesized. If you shrink beyond the limit before this step, the game ends without a cure.
- Collect the three key ingredients as early as possible to leave more time for synthesis.
- Verify each ingredient matches its formula to avoid wasted processing.

Adjustable Game Settings
Players can tweak the initial height, the number of double jumps, and the duration of the Chemical Processor’s operation. These options let you customize the difficulty and pacing without altering the core shrinking mechanic.
Changing these parameters influences how much vertical space you start with and how many jumps you can perform, which directly affects how easily you can reach higher equipment as you shrink.
