Age Progression
The game divides history into Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern Ages. Within each Age you can keep a single civilization, evolve it into a new identity, or blend elements for a hybrid approach. Achieving milestones in one Age unlocks advantages for the next.
Players decide when and how to shift strategies, as scientific, cultural, militaristic, and economic achievements affect the options available in the upcoming Age.
- Plan long‑term milestones early to maximize benefits in later Ages.
- Balance cultural and military goals to keep options open for hybridization.

Triumph System
Triumphs are attribute‑based objectives that guide victory conditions. Each new Age expands the range of possible triumphs, allowing players to borrow elements from other civs and unlock fresh bonuses.
The system encourages player‑driven narratives, letting you pursue scientific, cultural, militaristic, or economic paths to achieve victory.
- Focus on a specific triumph early to streamline development.
- Use hybridization to access bonuses from multiple triumph types.

Leader Selection
Leaders are chosen from a diverse roster and are separate from the civilization itself. Each leader carries a unique ability that persists across Ages, influencing strategy shifts.
Mixing leaders with different civs creates new strategic combinations, as leader bonuses can be swapped across campaigns using Mementos.
- Pair a leader with a strong early‑game ability with a civ that excels later.
- Consider how a leader’s ability aligns with your intended triumph.
