01 / THE GUIDE
Political Management
Leaders can be recruited as governors, council directors, commanders or advisors, each possessing over 40 skills and optional feats. Political bodies like parliaments, senates or politburos can be formed, vote on laws and shape empire direction.
Votes may trigger far‑reaching consequences, influencing economy, military and public sentiment. Mismanagement can cause strikes, corruption or rebellion, making the balance between populace and ruling class crucial.
- Diversify leader skills to cover both administrative and military needs.
- Monitor law outcomes; a single vote can shift resource allocation dramatically.
02 / THE GUIDE
Resource Extraction
The game offers mining for water, metal, rare metals, oil and radioactive materials, requiring prospecting to locate deposits. Ruins of fallen empires hide rare artifacts that can augment resources.
Supply chains depend on these resources; shortages of ammo or food directly affect military capability and civilian stability.
- Prioritize prospecting early to secure long‑term resource flow.
- Balance extraction of hazardous materials with safety to avoid bio‑hazard penalties.

03 / THE GUIDE
Technology Research
Over 100 technology fields can be discovered, with each game presenting a unique research path. Early low‑tech levels evolve toward advanced options like ICBMs, laser guns and shield generators.
Research also unlocks new unit components, formations and stratagems, influencing both combat and economic development.
- Focus on technologies that complement your current unit designs.
- Track emerging tech trends to anticipate opponent capabilities.
04 / THE GUIDE
Unit Customization
Players can design more than 30 unit types—tanks, walkers, missile launchers, aircraft—and choose components like guns and engines. Formations exceed 100 types, allowing deployment of infantry, siege, tank divisions and more.
Combat resolution considers readiness, morale, supply, experience, terrain and leader skills, making design choices impactful.
- Match unit speed and armor to the terrain you expect to fight in.
- Use leader skills that boost morale for units operating in hostile environments.
05 / THE GUIDE
Diplomacy and Spies
Diplomacy with neighboring factions includes coercing minor regimes into vassals, forging pacts with major powers, or using spies to manipulate politics and reveal military forces.
Successful diplomatic actions can secure peaceful coexistence or create leverage for future expansion.
- Deploy spies before signing pacts to gauge hidden military strength.
- Turn minor regimes into vassals early to build a buffer zone.
