About Settlement Survival
Settlement Survival is a single-player simulation-strategy game in which you lead a group of people as they establish a new settlement. You are responsible for providing shelter, guaranteeing the food supply, protecting against natural threats, and keeping an eye on well-being, happiness, education and employment. Manage these well and you may even attract residents from foreign cities.
Players pick a site based on nearby resources, shape the land with tools, recruit mayors, keep crime under control, and trade goods to keep the community thriving. Development routes such as agriculture, mining or education unlock new buildings and abilities, letting you tailor your strategy to your strengths. Maps are randomly generated down to their resources and landmarks, so every playthrough presents fresh challenges.
01 / THE GUIDE
Terrain and Layout
The game gives you tools to carve out the land, join rivers and form lakes, so you can shape the settlement exactly as you want. Choosing where to build based on nearby resources shapes both early development and long-term success.
Because each map is randomly generated, including its resources and landmarks, no two starts are alike. This encourages players to adapt their plans to whatever environment they are given each time.
- Evaluate nearby resources before committing to a settlement location.
- Adapt your layout to the terrain rather than reusing the same plan every run.

Mayor and Governance
Mayors can be recruited to determine the morality of your settlement. Governance also involves controlling crime and making sure baby-boom periods do not negatively impact your resources.
Balancing moral direction with practical needs helps maintain stability and prevents crises caused by unchecked growth or rising crime.
- Watch your resource stockpiles when a baby-boom hits.
- Keep crime under control as the population grows.

Seasons and Disasters
The settlement experiences all seasons, and disasters come with early warning signs you should heed. You can bunker down and protect your citizens from the elements and environmental disasters, or risk losing everything you have built.
Preparing for severe weather and disasters ahead of time can preserve both your infrastructure and your population.
- Take early warning signs seriously and prepare before a disaster strikes.
- Bunker down to shield citizens when environmental disasters hit.

Development Routes
You can pursue development routes including trading, education, mining, construction, agriculture, processing, logistics and liveability. Each route unlocks new buildings and abilities that boost development.
There is no set pattern to route selection, so you can choose freely and play to your strengths, giving progression a flexible, personal shape.
- Pick routes that match your preferred play style.
- Remember each route unlocks its own buildings and abilities.
05 / THE GUIDE
Trade and Blueprints
Trade is key to your population's survival. You can exchange artistic items of high value or unprocessed products, and you can unlock the mint to create a common currency.
Rare blueprints offer powerful effects and unique themes, letting you customize the settlement further once you have mastered the art of trading.
- Trade high-value artistic items to build wealth.
- Unlock the mint to establish a common currency for your economy.
