About SCP: Secret Laboratory
SCP: Secret Laboratory is a free‑to‑play multiplayer horror game set in a breached SCP Foundation containment site. Players assume one of five human roles, each with its own goals, while navigating a facility riddled with dangerous SCP entities and security systems. The map is divided into distinct zones—from the Light Containment area where scientists and Class‑D personnel start, to the Heavy Containment zone housing the SCPs, and the Surface zone that serves as the evacuation point. Survival hinges on cooperation, sabotage, or outright aggression.
01 / THE GUIDE
Human Classes
Five human classes are available: Scientists, Class‑D Personnel, Facility Guards, Mobile Task Force, and Chaos Insurgency. Each class has a unique perspective and set of objectives during the breach.
Scientists aim to escape with help, Class‑D start with nothing and seek freedom, Guards protect scientists and delay SCPs, MTF agents restore order and assist evacuations, while Chaos Insurgents attack the Foundation and rescue Class‑D.
- Coordinate with teammates of complementary classes for better chances of escape.

Site‑02 Zones
The facility is split into Light Containment (scientists and Class‑D), Heavy Containment (SCPs), Entrance (guards), and Surface (evacuation and insertion points).
Each zone presents different hazards and opportunities; moving between zones often requires passing through security measures or confronting hostile players.
- Learn the layout of each zone to plan escape routes.
- Use zone boundaries to your advantage when evading pursuers.

Emergency Measures
The site includes Tesla Gates that electrocute, bulkheads that temporarily block movement, and a nuclear warhead capable of vaporising the underground section.
These systems can be triggered by players or automatically during the breach, influencing the flow of combat and escape attempts.
- Trigger bulkheads to buy time when being chased.
- Avoid Tesla Gates unless you intend to use them against opponents.

Core Gameplay Objective
Players fight to either escape, secure the facility, sabotage it, or eliminate everyone as an SCP. Success depends on role‑specific goals and player interaction.
