About Sailwind
Sailwind is a sailing simulator that mixes realistic sailing physics with survival‑style resource management. Players choose from six boats, each with a distinct sail plan, and travel across a large open world of islands and open ocean.
The game supports cargo delivery, fishing, and free exploration. Players can customize their vessel, use navigation tools, and contend with dynamic weather while monitoring food and water supplies for long voyages.

Realistic Sailing Physics
To move efficiently you must tack, reef the sails in heavy weather, and keep the boat at the wind’s optimal angle. The system tracks changing weather and waves, so constant adjustments are required to stay on course.
Each of the six boats reacts differently to wind and sea conditions, meaning mastery of one hull does not guarantee the same performance with another.
- Observe wind direction before setting a new heading.
- Practice reefing in calm seas to prepare for storms.

Boat Selection and Customisation
Six boats of varying size and sail plan are available, each delivering unique handling characteristics. Larger vessels suit long voyages, while smaller ones excel in tight island passages.
Customisation lets you add furniture, decorations, and paint, turning the boat into a home where you can cook, clean, and relax after a day at sea.
- Start with a smaller boat to learn handling before upgrading.
- Add a chair for a pleasant sunset view.

Island Regions and Economy
The world contains three distinct regions, each with its own climate, architecture, and economy. You can drop anchor, dock, and explore islands freely, taking advantage of sunny beaches or bustling markets.
A dynamic economy lets you buy low and sell high, adding a trading layer to exploration.
- Visit each region to compare market prices.
- Explore off‑the‑beaten‑path islands to see what each one offers.

Food, Water, and Weather Survival
Long ocean voyages require careful stocking of food and water; running out can become a real danger. Dynamic weather brings high waves and heavy winds that test both sailing skill and resource planning.
Fishing and cooking on board provide additional ways to replenish supplies during extended trips.
- Carry extra water for unexpected storms.
- Fish regularly to supplement food stores.
